I have around 40 beers in my fridge right now. Was going to have people over tonight to watch UFC , but those plans have changed. Now I have to find a way to put these things to use before the power goes tomorrow lol.

I had my Fantasy Football draft with all my buddies this morning and we figured all chill at the same house during the Hurricane. Didn't work out so had to drive back home in it. (35 minutes) and it was a wild ride. The worst part hasn't even hit Maryland yet.

            More footage from NOAA:

Over the past week, Hurricane Irene has battered Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, North Carolina, and is now heading for the major metropolitan areas of the Northeast U.S. Storm surge and flooding are the major concerns for coastal cities and towns, as total rainfall from this storm may exceed 15" in some areas. Hurricane warnings and evacuations are in effect from North Carolina to Maine.

From tropical wave on August 19th to Category 3 and back down to Category 1 on August 27th, Hurricane Irene's movements are documented here in 30-minute imagery from the NOAA GOES-East satellite.

Some people already died from this storm, from trees falling.

A little boy died from a tree falling on him. Last I checked the death toll was at 7.

                    Stay safe guys.

Not sure how it hasn't hit here yet, but we stocked up on a bunch of stuff just in case. Should be starting within the hour. Bloomsburg is right along the Susqehanna River so the chance of flood is pretty high. We got killed by Ivan in '04 and Agnes in '72...my house is on top of a hill so I have nothing to worry about, but there's a ton of homes along the river and the creeks that branch off of it.

                          So far, yeah.

The liquor stores/beer stores/Walmart were madhouses.
