    Re: OS Firearms Thread

Wow, I didn't know this thread existed.

I'm (im)patiently waiting for an M1 Garand that I ordered from the CMP. I sent off the paperwork on October 20. Usually it takes about a month from the time you send out the paperwork until receiving the rifle, but apparently they've been swamped with other orders and it may take much longer than normal. Bah.

It's a WASR10 some people have probalems with them because the iron sights on some are bad, but the guy that sold it said he shot it and it shot great, so im a pretty happu camper, now i just need my AR to sell, put the 670 bucks back, then buy a thousand rounds and i'll have broken even

Shot a 1940 Winchester model 70 today. Had a bit more kick then my Ruger .270 but it was awesome to shoot something I never have before. Especially something with so much history behind it and is an American icon to some.

I went grab this after work yesterday. Spur of the moment, just wanted a new shotgun.

I haven't shot any of my hunting/sport rifles or shotguns in months.

I did get my Henry survival rifle and Springfield xd40 out a few days ago and do some target shooting with a friend. I love that thing, especially with the modifications. It looks like a mini AR with a red dot scope on it.

                  I'm jealous.

Currently saving for this bad boy. Got to shoot one a couple times, and fell in love with it.

Also, as stated before in this thread by others... I absolutely love Sig. They will be my 2nd handgun.

Beautiful sidearm man. Make sure to post pics when you pick it up.

Anyone own any of the Ruger P series pistols? Been looking at a P-95 as my next sidearm after the SP101. Other than my .22 Buckmark, I don't have any pistols with over a 7 shot capacity. I just love something about the slimmer, yet still powerful handguns as carry options. However, i'd like to have something to toss lead down range with that doesn't require a new mag every 7 shots. I believe the P-95 9mm model is 15 or 16+1, so that would fit the bill nicely, especially at the $350 price point pretty much everywhere. Just curious if anyone has any experience with one as far as reliability goes.

Check the price on the Sig SP2022 9MM... I think it's 15 capacity where you are, super reliable, compact, etc. I love my .40 version of that gun.

                        But really.

If I ever do decide to get a gun, I'll probably just pick up a nice shotgun. Personally, I think it's already an unfair advantage to anyone breaking into my house, so I wouldn't feel right with the overkill at this point.

Just checked some local prices on that Sig. Actually not bad at all. I never bothered to look into them. Figured it'd be too expensive.

                          Thanks for the suggestion man.

Yeah the SP series is priced pretty competitively. Not sure you can get a better bang for the buck deal.

Is everything ridiculously overpriced right now? I had been waiting till I had some money saved up to by a handgun, but I heard a lot of ammo is hard to find.

Now is not the time to buy. Right now panic buying has everything out of whack price wise. AR 15s are going for over 200% mrsp. Any magazine over 10 rounds are all gone. 9mm and 223/5.56 are either all bought up or going for insane prices. My friend just bought a used Glock 19 for 650 dollars which is highway robbery. If I was you I would wait 2 to 3 months for the insanity to die down. If you don't wait prepare to be price gouged for ammo and magazines.
