No you did not just say that! I do think PUBG can be boring at times, but Fortnite is fun as hell to me and really hit it just right. I assume you’re saying this because of the amount of dead time(looting and just walking around without seeing anyone) there is in games but I don’t know, Fortnite is pretty fast paced for a BR game. And nothing gives me an adrenaline rush quite like battle royales.

Automobiles are safer than aeroplanes. I'm not saying planes aren't safe. Heck, if someone from OS gave me a plane ticket to Hawaii or the Bahamas I'd be in the air tomorrow. I just don't think they are looking at the numbers correctly.

the 114th time I get in my car I'm going to die? If 114 people are on the interstate in rush hour, one of them won't make it home?

I think the difference is more things can go wrong on the ground in the air (more obstacles, more idiots, etc.), but when things go wrong in the air there is so very little leeway in overcoming them, especially if it's mechanical or environmental.

I best not worry about it, because I know it's completely out of my control and if it's the most efficient way for me to get somewhere I'll take it. I fear the worst as well, but I'm trusting of the people in front of the plane and the people who make it.

These days I'm more concerned about ride attractions, though it won't stop me from going on those either (gotta get rid of this concussion first though).

                    Come on man.

As a baseball fan you know well and good how probability and stats work.

Just because a guy hits .300 doesn't mean he can't go on an 0-20 drought.

The biggest difference between the two is pretty much what Blzer mentioned. With flying, there are so many controls in place to eliminate as much user error as possible.

That doesn't exist when being in a car.

The real uncommon opinion might be in someone who would take their chances in a plane crash over a car accident

Well, yeah, in a plane crash, you're pretty much screwed. In the average car crash, you'll likely survive and may even escape with zero injuries. A plane crash, yeah, odds are you're probably screwed and gonna die. If it's a controlled crash, you might have better odds. If it's an uncontrolled crash, well, you're ****ed.

Looking at the overall picture, I trust flying a hell of a lot more than I trust driving. Sure, the air industry and rules and procedures that are in place today were all written in blood from accidents and crashes in the past that led to the creation of those rules, but air travel has become incredibly safe these days.

The death that just happened was the first death on a US commercial airline since 2009 if I recall correctly, vs how many deaths via car accidents every year. An entire engine can explode, like what happened with the Southwest Airlines plane and yet they were still able to land. Planes can land and take off on only a single engine if need be, and even if they lose all power in air, they can glide for upwards of maybe 20 or 30 minutes depending on the altitude and have a ram air turbine on the bottom of the plane that can be deployed to give them power for basic instruments and maneuverability of the plane, on top of the APU.

That, and pilots have to go through a hell of a lot more education, training and qualifications to fly a commercial airplane, and then still have controllers directing them in the air, than Joe Blow does to drive a 4,000 pound death machine down the highway at 70 MPH. I could get t-boned and killed by a drunk driver in the next 5 minutes as I leave work, or I could get home safely like every other day. Granted, I could go to sleep tonight and die in my sleep, so it's all a big giant ****show gamble really.

Salsa is simply too good to be in the condiment category. I can tolerate mayonnaise, I like salt & catsup, even love pepper & mustard, but salsa, the English language can't begin to describe or do justice to my feelings towards salsa. When I'm eating salsa, the tortilla chip is the condiment, merely a vessel for the delivery.

Salsa, get thee in mah bellah.
