The steamed burger place was on Man vs. Food and they looked tasty. Not sure if it would be my everyday burger but every once and a while, it might be good.

They are a diff breed, white castle cooks them on a flat top. Maybe they steam the buns?

Its not a flat top, its called a steam griller.
        They steam grill their burgers.
Its a pretty disturbing process, but somehow it works.

Notice they only cook one side of the burger. The holes in the burger, allows the steam to rise, steam the bun and cook the top of the burger.

Anyone ever attempted to create this beast in their own home ... or better yet, grill it?

Ive never really gone ALL OUT like that, but I generally do grind my own steak and I often stuff my burgers with cheese or mushrooms.

My wife's favorite it my Blue Cheese stuffed Burger and I generally go for the Mushroom & Swiss stuffed Burger.

Also, just a point of preference, I refuse to pan fry a burger.
I would much rather flame grill it or George Foreman it if I absolutely have to.
This is my own personal preference and not a Man Law of cooking burgers.

I tried making a Juicy Lucy once but had a blowout...

I also think I had my patties too large (from the online recipe I found) and had trouble cooking it through while not burning the outside.

I should try it again though, I think I'd be a bit better off now.

I wonder if you could just grill it or not? Hmmmmm. All the ones I see are pan made, whereas I always do burgers a grill (we have great Arizona weather so I can grill year round).

I miss White Castle! Next time we go back to the midwest I have to get some!

It doesn't make much sense, but they taste so good.

When I pan fried it (trying the Juicy Lucy) we only had a Foreman otherwise. Foreman grills won't do a juicy lucy due to the pressure of the top pan.

We couldn't grill on our patios and the condo shared grills sucked hardcore.

I think I could probably make a Juicy Lucy happen on my grill now though...just have to get the right thickness of patties.

                            My favorite BBQ chicken meal:

Package of thin cut chicken cutlets (Usually has 5 or 6 cutlets)
                            6 slices of prosciutto
                            12 slices of provolone
                            Slices of roasted red pepper
                            Fresh Basil leaves

Lay out the cutlet, then add 1 slice of prosciutto, 2 slices of provolone, slice of roasted red pepper, 2 Basil leaves. Roll it up and pin, drizzle with olive oil and fresh ground pepper and grill it up!
