I'm going to make me one, one of these days. Just haven't been able to find a good clean drum. All the ones I can find on CL have had some sort of oil in them. But yeah, they're crazy good at holding temps.

I got my WSM through a local Do It Best supply company. Got it for cost plus 5% which saved me almost $180 on it. Best decision I've made since I became a big time smoker.

Good point, but I don't want an ugly drum smoker on my back porch.

That really depends on how it is finished. I've seen a couple that looked better than store bought

Just look around for a place that sells refurbished drums, it'll cost you a bit more but still under $30.

That's going a bit too far, but it's an interesting example of what you can do, just painted all black I don't think they look too bad.

I'm heading to visit some family for Easter weekend where it should be close to 60 degrees (been stuck in the 30's at best lately).

Anyways, my mom asks me if I want to grill since the weather should be nice.

Do I want to grill?! There won't be a piece of uncooked meat in their freezer after this weekend.

I know people love them, but I never got that into crawfish...

I think it's just because I'm from the northern Midwest where it's not something you'd find that often. I know down south it's something you see every day.

Crawfish is so huge here that you literally can't find them around easter because they are sold out everywhere. I had to call literally every fisherman I knew and managed to scrap together this sack on last min. If I wanted to make it easier I would have had to order them 2 weeks ago.

It actually reached the 50's today. I think its about time to fire up the BBQ.
I think I'll do up some 50/50 steak & sausage burgers with some home fries.
