I think I kept track of something like 25 seasons.

I went to my mom's house just to find if I could locate the old notebook somewhere in the basement with my old stuff. Couldn't find it I remember a 75 sack season with Jerry Ball, wanted to read my little notes. So many seasons were documented

Did the same thing later with Ken Griffey, JR baseball, records of HRs, RBIs, etc, all in the same notebook. Damn I wish I could find that lol

Does anyone have a good strategy for saving your pictures that doesn't involve social media? I've messed with IMGUR, Photobucket, etc. I'm just afraid that if I save my pictures somewhere they might one day become unavailable due to a website shutting down.

I'm working towards removing everything I have from Facebook and getting away from it permanently. I disabled my account for 6 months and now I've reactivated it just to download pictures. I hate the ****ing site. I've just kept it for family and military friends. Now I don't want on it at all.

Any tips would be great. I'm thinking about physical media like a flash drive or CDs, but even those could be damaged or lost in a fire.

I remember getting NCAA football in the early 2000s and sending my memory card to DT Linder. I was so excited to have a fully named roster. A few years later, I came to OS looking for free rosters and never looked back.

          External harddrive?

No matter what though, I'd back it up on multiple places. I have my pics saved on external drive as well as on laptop, so if the drive ever fails, there's still a copy on the laptop.

But I do wonder if someone has a foolproof way to back up pics. Even drives aren't 100% great. They're made to survive disasters, but could still get corrupt out of nowhere.

Lol, I was cleaning out some old stuff and I found backup batteries for my remote....a remote I've had for over 10 years now and still use. What's funny is how I've never changed the batteries since I got it! Don't know how that's even possible.

Feels like I changed batteries like Energizer and all those other kinds every so often in other things I use, but thse generic batteries which came with my remote last longer lol.

I remember driving to that spot in Ohio and then meeting up with Fairdale Kings at a McDonald’s in Louisville to give him his early copy so he could start on rosters as soon as possible

I have mine on thumb drives and CDs. My dad used to keep stuff inside an empty box in the refrigerator, since he swore the fridge could withstand a fire. The only problem was when we thought we were getting pancakes for breakfast and Dad's CDs were inside the box of pancake mix.

I also have Gmail and access to Google Drive for free. If you need more space, you can always pay and upgrade.

I have all the important stuff on both, and I figure if Google is shutting down a few people might hear about it.

a keychain flash drive is another option if you're worried about losing important data in a catastrophe, no one leaves their keys behind in an emergency, and you also have the sentimental assurance that your favorite saved moments from friends and family are right there with you in your pocket

My brain tells me it wouldn't work, but my parents bought a house about 3 years ago and even at 50+ years old my dad was storing money in the freezer because they were shopping for a new safe.

My mom has told me that my great-grandfather was notorious for hiding money in every nnok and cranny he could find in the house he and my great-grandmother bought in the 1910s or early 20s and lived the rest of their lives in. My great-grandmother passed in 1971 and my great-grandfather in 1981, but their daughter (my great-aunt) continued to live in the house until around 2010 so who know's how much money could've been and could still be hidden in that house.
