    Re: Off-Topic

Better now than never, but given less and less people shop in store, this would've been cooler to have a decade ago.

Saw an ad on tv where you can look up an item on the app and it'll tell you where in the store the item is and the sign will blink green to catch your attention once you're in the aisle.

The aisle locator isn't anything new, some stores have this and I love it for the few times I go to those stores. But the blinking light feature sounds like a cool one.

It is helpful saying an item is in aisle 66 or something, but that aisle could have 100 different items, having a light blink showing exactly where the item is sounds cool.

I like to think I'm more of the Guy of Christmas Past, Present and Future.

One tree up and the second one is going up tomorrow after I finish golfing. Then the family can decorate it. Here's hoping our new puppy (Lemon a Golden Retriever ((I did not name her, I wanted to name her Griffey, and as you can see I lost)), doesn't think that the decorations are toys for her).

Happy Halloween. The speed bump before Christmas will soon be over.

P.S. We give out full size chocolate bars, so I'm not a complete Halloween Grinch!

Don't know what it was, but this year was probably the busiest Halloween I've seen.

At least double the amount of people I've usually seen. You know it's a lot when the usual overflow amount of candy is down to the last few items to give out.

Not a lot for me so far (I'm on the west coast), but I didn't buy a lot of candy and now I'm down to like my last ten pieces. Sort of hoping it fizzles out, because I'd hate for people to ring my doorbell and for me to ignore it because I don't have any.

I should do the teacher thing and give out rulers instead.

I'm sure this idea came to me at one point but didn't sink in until I heard someone else tell me this (they have 2 kids, they've been there done that and know all the tips/tricks, no pun intended)

Best advice for Halloween candy, when the little one is making their rounds trick of treating, once they drop off their first batch of candy, go through it and see what they don't like/want and you just start handing out that asap.

So instead of having candy they don't want just sitting around after Halloween, you're giving out that candy (so if you do have leftovers, it's the candy you bought/know they or you will like too).

Face it, everyone gets those "fruit" snacks, random gummies, lollipops (except those caramel like ones) they probably don't care for, so why not pass that out as soon as you can to get rid of it while stockpiling the good stuff.

True. I still have candy from last year I could've given out. Granted, I don't have any kids.

I passed out Kit Kat and Crunch bars this year. They really seem to go for those.

I usually get much more traffic, but I only had about 15 kids show up tonight. I chalk it up to weather though - temps dropped to around 50 and there was a pretty good breeze today so it felt colder than it actually was.

Nobody at my house this year. Disappointing. Think all the All Month Long extravaganza BS that it's turned into, Trunk or Treat crap, and a re other reasons have led to severely diminished Halloween.

Our neighborhood pops off. It’s like a throwback to growing up how it used to be, but somehow even crazier. There were like serious crowds around last night. One home does a haunted house… I heard that chain saw going and did NOT enter hahaha

Some of these houses are downright impressive. I think they all feed off each other too, so it’s like who can have the most insane decorations and setup.

It’s a blast for the kids and adults. One of the houses passes out jello shots for the adults so it’s a good time for all.

Everyone's fave time of the year (no pun intended).......

Clocks go back 1 hour tonight.

One of these days they'll get rid of it, right? Feels like they've talked about it for decades but nothing ever happens.

I think Canada wants to stop changing things, but it's literally impossible to do so if the US doesn't for obvious reasons.

Daylight savings time should just be the norm. Sun rise/set obviously varies based on where you live, but for me right now sunrise is almost 8am and sunset around 6pm.

Nothing more depressing (outside of the cold/snow) this time of the year than it being dark before 5pm.
