Any word if they're changing the plan or are they sticking to their guns?

Their death rate per million is less than 30 people per million than us; they are less than 1/3 the death rate of other countries that have shut down. I don’t know that this paints their experiment as a failure...

Unfortunately, it wouldn't surprise me if some people are going to call for war with China before this is all over. I have no doubt Chinese-Americans and Chinese-Canadians will be scapegoated as well. That's just the way too many people think: Got to find somebody to blame.

I'm not sure if they have figured out why yet but it does seem like the warmer places have less cases and deaths. It could be that majority of those countries are poorer or more locked down information wise so less testing.

If this is true, PGA tour initially without fans following the social distancing rules.

            https://www.golfdigest.com/story/sou...to-2020-season

GA Tour officials are expected to announce this week their intention to resume the tour season, halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, on June 11-14 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, multiple sources have told Golf Digest. It’s also expected that fans will not be allowed to attend that first tournament at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth. As the Tour looks to follow health and safety guidelines set by government and health officials, other early tournaments also are expected to be played without spectators.

The sources spoke on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak on the Tour’s behalf. Tour officials discussed plans with the Players Advisory Council during a conference call on Tuesday.

I did a food pick up from Giant today.

All and all went seamless. I called the store when I pulled up, employee brought food out and threw into my trunk.

I got about 85% of the stuff on my list. I consider that a positive!

But selflessly I didn't get the two things I'm craving the most. Pizza and Ben & Jerry's Half Baked!

Personal level I do not fear I've been in contact with anyone that could cause me to get the virus - I know I'm safe from that. However over the past 1.5 weeks my anxiety has gone up like crazy. During the day I'm calm but when night comes and my mind starts racing it gets bad! The unknown is getting to me. Hopefully I can get that figured out soon and relax at night!

I don't think you read the chart correctly. They're at 102 deaths per million compared to the US's 79. More comparable Nordic countries like Norway and Finland, which locked down early, are at 26 and 12, respectively.

The IHME model projects they'll have ~18,000 deaths by early August, which is huge in a relatively small country like Sweden. Their government gambled that herd immunity, not lockdowns, was the way out of this and their gamble failed, with thousands of people dying needlessly because of it. Harsh way to put it, but it's a failure that can't be sugarcoated.

That is what I read; they have 102 deaths per million people and we have 79. Is that not 23 more deaths per million people? I saw several countries who have locked down who were in the 300's per million people. My point is that they haven't locked down and the results aren't that much drastic compared to countries that did lock down. Am I missing something?

Well you left out that the results are drastically different from the bordering countries, which is a more apples to apples comparison.

It really is not the heat but it has to do with UV light exposure. Our greatest UV light exposure in the Northeast is the summer that is why flu, viruses etc are suppressed because UV light destroys them. UV light is a great source for sterilization.

So the grocery store i work at has done one really stupid thing and annoying thing the last like 4 days or so that makes zero sense and really just makes things worse. So they only have the door unlocked on 1 side. Its really annoying because it makes it so its even harder to keep up on karts because with only having 1 side open like eve one is getting there kart from just the one side so karts are going much faster has a result. Its already hard because of how understaffed and badly run the place has been for years but this just makes it worse. Also it just makes no sense because we are not limiting people from coming in. So the only thing it does is make the people get closer to each other. Why would you do something that just gets people more close to each other more often when the whole idea is supposed to be to get less people around each other and more space between each other. But ok lets do something that does the opposite lol.
