Where’d he hear that? Just googling I found this https://www.charlotteobserver.com/ne...243761247.html which seems to say you can do both.

I've been seeing that same comment a lot lately, too.

The amount of disinformation people believe is mind boggling.

That turned into a month and a half or so and eventually my mom called me asking if we were more worried about passing it to them or vise versa. I told my mom that I'm just worried about them in general because she doesn't have a spleen and has lupus in her bones/joints. She's had it for about 30 years now at least.. luckily it's not in her organs or anything, but still.. she qualifies as compromised.

My mom said she was just frustrated because she has to go to work every day still because her job is "essential" and be around hundreds of people every day only to come home and be told she can't be around her family because we are afraid of passing it along to her. I think it was really starting to bother her and at first we compromised and brought the kids over to play outside, but it's hard to tell your 3 year old they can't hug their grandparents that they love and vise versa.

We have scaled it back gradually and now my kids are around my parents more again. I don't know what the right thing to do is and I'm fine with admitting that. Keep away and my parents catch it anyways or be around them and them catch it and us not know if it was our fault. The whole thing just sucks and I don't want to live in a bubble, but also be reasonable.

I actually stepped foot in a grocery store for the first time in months last night with my wife to buy a few last minute supplies/food to cook in the condo for our beach trip and we were maybe 1 out of every 5 or 6 couples actually wearing a mask. It bothered me to see families rolling 6 deep with mom, dad, and kids with no masks shopping and touching every ****ing thing. It's irresponsible and people are letting their need to be "free" cloud their vision of how to look after others. I try not to judge because me being around family may be irresponsible too.. wearing a mask just seems like the absolute bare minimum you can do to help. I'll gladly let my glasses fog up and shop if it means doing my part.

Once people figured out that the masks helps other people more than it helps you it was over for that ****. People only wore it in masses at the beginning because they thought they were protecting themselves.

Anyways... gonna try to unplug this next weekend or so after I clock out today and give my brain some rest. I hope we can all get past this and come out on the other side healthy and thanks for reading my book.

Re: CDC Officials Warn of Coronavirus Outbreaks in the United States.

          From the WHO:

Millions of people could die if the coronavirus pandemic sees a second wave of infections, a World Health Organization official warned Friday, adding that the deadly outbreak has so far unfolded much like officials at WHO had anticipated.

“The comparison is with the Spanish Flu, which behaved exactly like Covid: it went down in the summer and fiercely resumed in September and October, creating 50 million deaths during the second wave,” Dr Ranieri Guerra, WHO assistant director-general for strategic initiatives told Italy’s Rai TV.

I'm not so sure I'd go along with it dying in the summer around the US with the record number of cases yesterday and the task force coming out after being away for almost 2 months.

This is where I’m at too. Locked down tight during the first month or two. Only in the last month have I visited family, my son is back in school, my wife is working full time again, etc. I’ve hung out with a small group of friends a couple times.

But I’ll throw the mask on when I run in to the store. And we’ve declined invitation to a BBQ that was going to be in double digits as far as attendees.

Just trying to navigate the times reasonably and responsibly. I know any time you’re around others you’re engaging in risky behavior, it’s just a matter of how far you’re willing to go.

Also, we recently started using Instacart and I don’t think I’m ever going to go to the grocery store for a big run ever again, pandemic or not. Worth the service charges and tip.

Grocery pick up or delivery options are the way of the future. The only thing I really care to go buy myself now is meats. We even started using Chewy to buy the cat and dog food. Now only if I could get them to ship my kid's pet gecko some food we wouldn't have to go near a Petco or Pet Depot either.

They're shutting down all the bars in Texas (starting 6/26 at 12pm). Resturants are now down to 50% occupancy.

That’s what’s been done here in NY at Phase 3. Stools are 6 feet apart indoors. Places that have space for outdoor seating can do that as well with tables 6 feet apart.

The WHO is one of those many "trusted sources" that have completely revealed themselves to be scam artists and propaganda arms over the last 6 months.

Whatever they say can be discounted in total. This is what happens when "sources you can trust" completely beclown themselves as lying garbage.

And because they're supposed to be a trusted entity that proved themselves to be this way, everyone is just going to go run into the arms of other bull**** mongers, grifters, and other clown shows. Cause and effect. Again, can't say I blame them.

TaskForce just spoke for the 1st time in 2 months. To summarize:
                        • We are in a better place than we were 2 month's ago
                        • It's encouraging that 1/2 of the new cases are in younger people (under 30)
                        • We are testing more people than ever, hence why more cases
                        • It's up to your local jurisdictions to mandate mask wearing, even though the CDC is recommending mask wearing
                        • States are openly safely and responsibly

If you think that jabroni has any influence at all on my feelings about the WHO, I'd advise thinking otherwise haha.

I'd venture to say it probably is better that the younger people are getting this. If they get it and older more vulnerable don't get it, maybe this **** can burn out faster. Hopefully. But younger people are more careless in general and bring **** home. So I dunno.

Yeah, the WHO stuff has been particularly effective propaganda in the administration's mission to find a scapegoat. They want everyone to blame China, so they are using the attacks on the WHO as a flank attack.

Also, they benefit if they can strip every trusted health organization of its credibility. It's the easiest way to force Americans to take their word on what to do.
