Re: *The FIFA 16 Manager Mode Thread*
I am playing on the ps4 as manager of Sheffield Wednesday. Unfortunatly, like many players, the game is prone to crashing. I am unable to play my strongest team due to bugs in the game that make it crash when certain players are picked from the summer transfer window. I am also finding it very hard to score more than one goal. Most games are low scoring. They are largely excellent matches played on world class level. I had to downgrade from legendary as it was just too hard. Much harder than in 15. I find the game to be a dream to play, with both teams making Normal human mistakes. A big improvement on 15. Maybe I should drop the goalies level from 50.
I do hope ea fix this game soon. Once again they are very quiet on the subject of cross platform bugs. I do feel let down by them especially after the truly dreadful RM golf.
My team are mid table after 23 games. It's now the winter transfer window but what's the point signing players if you can't play them from the start.Comment

Also playing on ps4 but never had any crashes. Is there a way to reproduce this? Does it only occur in MM?

Re: *The FIFA 16 Manager Mode Thread*
Real Betis
Att 75/ Mid 75/ Def 74
Budget:
6.5€ million with 998,000€ wages.
$7 million with $1,055,000 wages..
I assume you do not play in Liga BBVA using Sterling Pounds but it is
4.6£ million with 716,000£ for wages.
That is with most recent roster update. Side note they have awesome kits this year... I always like green kits as you can usually wear the home ones a lot. Their away are cool and the third kit is even nice. Rarely do I see a side with three kits I like.
Anyhow, hope that helped...
That did help a lot thanks man

Yeah, I feel the same. I really hope it's related to the season. I'll wait to get around the middle of the season to think whether I'm going manually change it or not.Comment

Re: *The FIFA 16 Manager Mode Thread*
So after making it out of the group stage in the pre season tourney, we then won the semi final against Cagliari 1-0. But we couldn't win it all, losing the final 2-0 to Kasimpasa. Overall netting an extra 1.8M in transfer funds.
2017-2018
With our 11.5M total in funds now we were off to make a splash. We were able to secure Timo Werner (LM, 75) from VfB Stuttgart for 6M. We then also able to snag Dominic Slonake (ST, 75) from Bayern for 5M. We also sold off some other players, but nothing worth noting. Also loaned out some youth prospects.
Over the first two seasons I made some other note worthy transfers. Picked up striker Bard Finne from FC Koln for 1.2M, he grown from 67 to a 73. Leading scorer for team last season. Also picked up left back Jordan Lukaku KV from Oostadene for 2.2M. Hes been a beast. Growing in one season from 70 to 75. Also have picked up a few players that haven't panned out, but I am keeping them around to see if they will. Timo Baumgartl (CB) from VfB Stuttgart, Bustinza (RB) from CD Legandes, Gokhan Gul (CB) from Vfb Bochum, and Felix Platte (ST) from Schalke. Gul and Platte are doing okay as backups. But they haven't shown anything when in the starting roles.Bustinza was doing okay as a backup, and is being flung into the starting role this year. He is taking it over after selling the player in front who demanded a transfer.
This year on the team we also have two youth prospects who are now apart of the first team. Florian Tremmel, CM from Germany, currently 68 with a potential of 88. And Kenny Deichmann, CM from Germany, currently 69 with a potential of 86. Tremmel was loaned out last season while Deichmann played for us as a rotational player. Both will be making starts and playing off the bench all season. They will be battling to see who gain the main starting role.
We also have a great prospect of a goalkeeper in Azeez, 68 rated from England. He is the only player who came out of our attempt to start a youth program in England. He came into the club at 17, projected rating of 58 and potential of 90. He has sky rocketed in growth the last two season playing out on loan with Cardiff City. He is our main backup this season. He will eventually replace our main keeper Haas, who we expect to retire end of this season. And we have a couple promising youth players we are looking to develop this season.
We opened the season with a bit of drama. Winning the game in the final seconds of stoppage time against Eint. Frankfurt. The player who scored was substituted into the game in the 88th minute. The official also let the game go a little extra, the manager of the other team was upset after the game due to how late the free kick was awarded, he felt time should have been called well before.
<iframe src="//www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/x38ckqz" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="270" width="480"></iframe>
Then we played the first leg of the play-in playoff for the Europa league at home against Cracovia. The game ended in a lackluster 0-0 draw. A week later we then played on heck of a match with them that ended in a 2-2 draw. So we go ever so lucky to advance on away goals. I'm not too hopeful for the group stage. We got slotted with Galatasaray, Nacional and SK Papid Wien. I expect two losses to Galatasaray, a split with the others. Not sure that will be enough to get out of group.
And in the last two games of August we lost 4-0 away against Wolfsburg. It was a complete slaughter. They outclassed us all game. But we were able to rebound beating Werder Bremen at home 1-0 the next match. So we are sitting in 7th early with 6 points, only back on the three in front due to -2 GD.
And we are the first international break of the season. Final two World Cup qualifying games. I am skippering Northern Ireland. And we have done pretty good for qualifying to this point. Its going to be tough to hang on though. Our last two games are against away against Italy who already beat us at home, and home against Wales. Here is how the table looks currently.
After those two qualifying games, here is what the rest of September looks like for Union Berlin. Its going to be a rough month.
Some info about my setup.
Spoiler
I am playing on Legendary with the slightly tweaked community sliders. 10 minute halves for most games. But I some times drop down to 6 minutes, but very rarely. I might actually start playing on 15, not sure yet. Playing on slow with handballs on full.
I am currently using a 4-5-1, which could almost be called a holding 4-3-3.
And sorry for the insanely long post.

I have yet to have any kind of crash happen in MM, maybe you should consider redownloading and updating the game?
Anyway, currently in 8th with my Swansea side at the end of October.
I had a rough first part of the month, losing to Spurs 2-1 at home and then drawing with Stoke 1-1. Just as I was starting to get down on myself a bit for languishing in 10th, I crushed Aston Villa at Villa Park 3-0 and then won a league cup game against Southampton 2-0
Arsenal come to town next - heres hoping I get a big victory against.
Ki-Seung Young and Gylfi have been terrific for me, as has Oliver Torres, who I bought for around 18 million pounds at the beginning of the window and is looking to be a steal (I sold some excess players off to afford his tag and will probably look to sell Shelvey in January as I've struggled using him). I've scored 5 goals in all comps with Oliver.
I'm definitely looking to improve my striking and full back options come next Summer/January.
I also set up a MM with League One's Fleetwood Town. Going to see what the journey to the prem will be like... team plays pretty well/fun.
And then Ill probably at some point look to start up a manager in Italy or Spain. Havent decided which yet.Comment

I'm certainly realising it's no easy task trying to take a league 2 team to the Premier League!Comment

Re: *The FIFA 16 Manager Mode Thread*
So i restarted with SC Freiburg.
Decent enough squad with a few young players looking to grow, should stand me in good stead for the season.
I have to admit though, after the disappointment of Fifa 15 when i tried to unlock the finacial takeover and the game did nothing, i couldnt not try it again, so there you go, new owners, 50mil to spend, bought in a few players, mainly still trying to get young players in with the view to the future.
splashed 14.5 mil on Max Meyer though, had to make a superstar signing and if i dont get promoted with him in my team then i dunno what i can do!
Signed Nir Bitton from Celtic (it pains me to do that, but they have good players sometimes), scored in the first game of the season, his debut in a 1-0 win over Sandhausen.
Spent 6mil on Leandro Paredes as well, energetic and young. Lucas Piazon and Nathanial Chalobah are in from Chelsea, John Souttar from Dundee United amongst a few others.
I dont feel that i've cheated, finally fifa have given me what they glitched on before but i'm trying to be sensible with who i buy. the squad i have now is more than ready to compete for silverware, although once i get Allan McGregor in the sticks i'll be alot more confident!
Do you guys think i have cheated or what is your take?Comment

Re: *The FIFA 16 Manager Mode Thread*
To be honest, I don't think you're cheating at all. We've seen this happening in real life a bunch of times, already. Someone just want to wash (or just invest) some money in a team and that's it.
First of all, it's a video game and you must have fun. Don't mind about it. And well, it's not even like you signed a big world star player. Enjoy the game!Comment

Re: *The FIFA 16 Manager Mode Thread*
So this bug is also still in the game...
I'm so frustrated with how little they've done this year to improve the mode.
Atletico Madrid bought Fabregas, Pastore and Thiago, each for around 45 Million € even though Atletico already has a pretty good central midfielders and I'm not sure where they took the money from because they didnt sell anyone.
you think the teams who sold their stars got any replacement? Of course not.
Atletico now has around 40 people on their roster. 12-13 strikers for one or tow positions!
Whereas Bayern sold their whole defense (Boateng, Alaba, Martinez) and didnt buy anyone yet to replace them. They'll start their season with 3 defensive player for 3 positions, have fun rotating!
It's just a huge disappointment that they are not able to program or just unwilling to program some kind of logic that handles the AI's moves during career mode.
For me it takes out all the fun in the game if all the other teams act totally unreasonable.Comment
