I think you are all going to be very, very pleased with what is in this article (hint: there is no more May update!):

Hmm, those two do seem to be missing. I'll do some testing here in about 20 minutes and post back. It better not stunt those two stats.

Yeah, something is really off with some of the colors in general. Man U is especially egregious.

So, this is funny cause I was like YAY! Liverpool is finally in Red not pink! Then I scroll and am like oh... :'( United got the pink instead.

The weather and lighting is wonderful this year and I love the game..

But yes please put The Red Devils in Red if that is possible.

I generally don't put much stock into the FIFA forums at EA, but this shows why Man United's shirts are pink. Pleeease let this get fixed.

Re: *The FIFA 16 Manager Mode Thread*

Just started a Career with Red Bull Leipzig. Won the pre-season tournament (competition was pretty weak, probably because I choose a 2nd league team) and did some of the training exercises.

                Conclusion:

                - The tournament was nice, but it's just a gimmick. Felt very generic and I doubt I'll play it again next season. Definitely not a big feature ...

                - The training is really nice, the exercises are fun and we can finally develop the players the way we like. This is a huge step forward. But again I doubt that I'll play all the trainings througout the season. So in the end it's just another feature brought back, because in FIFA 09 or FIFA 10 it was already possible to choose which attributes players will improve. Never understood why they took it out in the first place.

The rest of the mode seems to be exactly the same.

They said they fixed transfer sums to be more realistic. So why are they telling me that P. Cech went from Chelsea to Arsenal for 33 Million € !?! Or D. Costa to Bayern for 50 Million. Thats way over the top.

Turned of the transfer window for the 1st summer but I really hope I wont see any transfers sums of 30-40 Million for a 33 year old keeper with an expiring contract.

The gameplay is really fun this year, but somehow I hoped that they had done a few more improvements to Career Mode. Its probably the go to mode for all the singleplayer fans.

So I ****ed up and didn't make a save for this test. And right before May I accidentally turned off the system. Stupid xbox one power button. I wanted to see what happened in may, really bummed about that. But I have data up until then. Some interesting things stick out.

                  Here is the spreadsheet data.

                  • If you don't use drills, players don't really progress at all it seems.
                  • Doing drills for speed does not always improve speed.
                  • Speed/strength appears tied to age progression.
                  • Two players doing the same drill will not progress at the same rate.

I also found it odd that only player improved in speed and strength.

If I had more time I bet Penn would have exploded on speed once he hit 17.

Not really happy with the results in a lot of areas, but I am with others.

How is the scouting so far?

Do I actually get what I ask for from the scouts and not 'glitched fullbacks' (or wingers--whatever it was before).

This will make the mode SOOO much better and more intuitive than the garbage we had before.

Its pretty good overall. I got lots of different player types. All with ranges of stats. However, I did seem to get a lot of keepers when doing the any option. Other than that, I didn't pay much attention, I was focused on the ones I signed. Then ignored the rest of the reports after a couple. But I liked what I saw at a quick glance.

I'm concerned that the starting 11 trick doesn't work anymore for setting goals

Well they did it. They fixed it. You can't alter your starting 11 anymore for easier season goals. ****. This makes manager mode... Really bad since you can't turn off firing.

No they do. I've seen players develop on their own over time like always. The testing data I posted earlier was only youth academy players. The ones in the youth academy that I didn't train, didn't really develop while there in it. If you look at the google sheet I posted the players that I didn't use the training on barely advanced in the course of 10 months. The ones I did though really advanced. Just not in speed and strength. That seems stunted for all youth players. They only grow a couple points around their birthdays.

And to reiterate, players still naturally progress on their own. I've had a couple players that I've never trained on my roster go up in stats.

I took 5 players from Peru, and 5 players from Japan in my YA. All outfield no GK'ers. I trained all the Japanese guys and left the Peruvian players be. I find zero correlation on growth, physicals growth, etc. its a mixed bag. as it should be imo
