Hi guys, from looks of it either we are not getting any world cup 2018 game/DLC or we might getting child play fut world cup 2018 cards, so I decided to start work on PES 2018 (World Cup 2018 Patch) which includes all 32 teams with their latest Kits also I will include lots of Qualifying kits for most of the teams I know is Not FIFA but with the PES powerful editing tools this is the best we are going to get for Next Gen console. I will share more info here soon.
For our PC fans I know a group start working on FIFA 18 PC Free World Cup 2018 Patch I will post more info about that project here soon too.

PES will for sure release a World Cup DLC. They did in PES 2014.

A standalone game for FIFA is pretty much out of the question now. Word is they will be announcing FIFA 19 at an EA event in early June.

Best case scenario we get some sort of an WC offline mode added the 18. Who knows how much depth or immersion that will include. Obviously won't be anywhere the 2014 Brazil game.

Honestly, I think the only way there is still a possibility of a stand-alone game is if the game were to come out in May rather than the usual release date of April

i think it will be DLC for 18.....just makes more sense. and at least from the articles i've read recently too.

I believe you're referring to Konami releasing DLC for the UEFA Euro 2016. They can't make a FIFA World Cup game because EA has the rights to FIFA, but Konami do have the rights to UEFA.

In 2014 they added a "World Challenge" DLC which included a tourament mode. Not an official licensed World Cup, but they did add kits and some pretty cool presentation elements.

The fact that there's been no real announcement of anything from EA makes me wonder if they're even going to do anything.

I think eventually we will get something. For DLC they might not tell us about it until a week or two before release. The FUT TOTS stuff starts in late April into May, so they might wait until that dies down a bit. Yes, that's how they prioritize things.

Really tho, I'm not particularly excited for it. We'll get a scaled back offline tournament (probably), with this same gameplay we've had for a while now.

They will do something. They’ve already told their investors they are doing something. I believe Burnout was only announced a couple of weeks before it released so maybe this will be the same thing. It’s the World Cup. How early do you really need to announce something.

The last WC game was released on april 15th 2014.

Yes it is odd but marketing a game in 2014 is different than 2018. The end of the fiscal year for EA is in a couple of weeks and EA told investors to look for news in spring. Hopefully we hear some news soon.
