    Amkar Player of the Month

CM Fegor Ogude, 66 Ovr, 28 years old, Nigeria

Amkar Perm's sputtering offense did find a little life in September mostly due to the efforts of Nigerian midfielder Fegor Ogude. Ogude put Amkar ahead early in a match against Rubin Kazan that ultimately ended in a 1-1 draw. Ogude also registered a goal in the Russian Cup competition, helping Konstantin Zyryanov's side to eliminate Lokomotiv Moscow 2-1 in extra time.

    Russian Premier League Table
    1. CSKA - 18 pts
    2. Krasnodar - 14 pts
    3. Spartak - 13 pts
    4. Dinamo - 12 pts
    5. Lokomotiv - 10 pts
    6. Terek - 10 pts
    7. Zenit - 9 pts
    8. Anzhi - 9 pts
    9. Kuban - 7 pts
    10. Rostov - 7 pts
    11. Krylya - 7 pts
    12. Rubin - 5 pts
    13. Amkar - 5 pts
    14. Ural - 4 pts
    15. Ufa - 3 pts
    16. Mordovia - 1 pts

    Russian Premier League Clean Sheets
    1. Akinfeev (CSKA) - 4 Clean Sheets
    2. Pesyakov (Anzhi) - 3 Clean Sheets

    3(t). Rebrov (Spartak) - 2 Clean Sheets
    3(t). Guilherme (Lokomotiv) - 2 Clean Sheets

    Manager's Thoughts
A very mediocre month that would have been a little better if we could have held our lead against Rubin Kazan. That was not the case though, and we settled for 2 draws before a surprise win in the Russian Cup Round of 16 against Lokomotiv Moscow in extra time. Our attack still lacks any venom however, and CSKA Moscow proved much more clinical in a game they deserved to win.

    October 2015 - Fixtures
    10/4 - at Terek
    10/17 - vs Krasnodar
    10/25 - at Mordovia
    10/31 - vs Zenit

October has two winnable games against Terek Grozny and Mordovia Saransk. We definitely shouldn't lose either match, but Mordovia is the one I'm certainly hoping to pull out a win in. The matches against FC Krasnodar and Zenit Saint Petersburg will be very tough, and any points taken would have to be considered a moral victory.

Thanks man! Can't believe you still had Exeter up and running but I'm really excited to see you try and take down the monster you have created. Looking forward to your future posts about it and as you said, I hope EA doesn't tear them apart before you get to take a crack at them.

Thanks Keano! Last night I was playing FIFA and the missus asked me when 17 comes out. Now, I don't know if it meant anything but I'm getting my hopes up and assuming she asked cause she's gonna get it for me lol as for the pup It's hard to tell exactly what breed he is. We rescued him from the shelter and all they said was he's a Shepard mix but he hasn't had his DNA tested. I want to get it checked but from what I've heard it's expensive! I think I'm here to stay again. I've really been enjoying reading up on all the careers here and it's inspiring me to get back into it like back in the day.

Still no pictures of the puppy though, I will be waiting. Nice to seeing you do well, man!

Okay you're right, I'm out of my mind haha I just hate EA destroying the teams in my league and I end up completely dominating everybody even on legendary because I'm the only team that's growing. I might actually drop the career soon because so far on the transfer deadline day I saw 3 different clubs sell their top players to a European club. One of which had already sold a top player to a European club early in the window. I quit the save and reloaded the deadline day and I'm hoping I can run it again without seeing so many top players go at the same Time. I think it may be time I return to Europe myself...

Oh, and here are the pics!

Vet said he's about 4 months. Don't be fooled by the pictures, he's a little devil. Been tearing up the apartment and has waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much energy lol can't wait for him to have all his shots so I can take him running or something cause as it is right now it's really hard to go to sleep at night lol

He is tremendously playful. With anything, anywhere. Everything is a game no matter what. He's been with us for almost a month and I already can't wait for his puppy phase to be through with haha we love him though, would never even think about returning him to the shelter or rehoming him. Hopefully he doesn't grow too big though he already chowed down his first bag of food like if it was a snack [emoji16]

Yes, I was in the hiring process for my local police department. Passed the written exam with an 81% (minimum passing was 70%), Sargent said I passed the physical exams in the top 10% of the class, and he also said he thought I gave a real good interview and most likely passed that (pending review from the interviewing board). However, when it came time to see if I was getting set up for a polygraph test, they emailed me that they decided to go with a different candidate. Big FML moment. Apparently, there's a lot of people from out of town that already have a verbal agreement with the department (sometimes they're transfers) and it turns out that it's rare for a local to get hired by the local police department. You have a better chance of getting hired at a police department from the nearby cities. So that was the end of that. I'm still gonna try again though and I might even take my chances with Border Patrol and see how that goes :/

Dude! I was gonna go to the Mexico - Uruguay game but with all the wedding stuff I'm broke :/ my brother is still going but I'm stuck with watching it on TV

Picture from our reception, not an official picture (hence the angle and why her eyes are closed) but I don't have the official photographer's photos yet so it's the best I could do.

And just because this is a FOOTBALL forum here's a picture from us at the Mexico - USA game in Pasadena (2015)

Yes, that's me gentlemen. Am I just how you imagined? [emoji16]

Congratulations on the wedding and the pup, Chico! Great to see you back on here. Your little fella is absolutely adorable. He definitely has some terrier in him! Warms my heart to hear that you adopted rather than supporting the breeding industry. Adopted dogs give you nothing but pure, unbridled love and affection. You can see how grateful they are to be loved, and it's given back to you many times over. Here's to a long and healthy life for the little guy.

Cruzerr - Great job with the transfer recap, it was very well done! The signings you made look also very good and I'm a big fan of the Carvalho purchase. 79 ovr Solanke looks very good, too. You have a good squad and I'm looking forward to seeing how you do this season!

Keano - My God, you managed to beat Liverpool. That's amazing! Very good results in league play in January, too, with eleven goals in three league games. The signings look like they will be good players for depth as they don't have that high overalls and potentials. The top three is very tight but you have a huge lead over Leyton in fourth so you are well on your way towards automatic promotion.

Indi - Very nice write-up! I'm looking forward to your magic at Nottingham!

Ducks - I'm getting a bit confused, which careers are you doing and which are you dropping?

SMH - Solid signings there! Gümüs and Krotov look like talented players with some potential for the future. As far as results go, August and September were tough for you as you failed to pick up that many points. Your league position is quite poor at the moment, as well, but I'm sure you will manage to raise up the table. Why do you think you are doing poorly so far? Also, on the bright side, the mighty Bulgarian Georgi Peev was the player of September

Aquaman - Yes, Athletic have their policy about signing only Basque and academy grown players and yes, that is something I am doing in this career. There's a long list with Basque players on Sofifa and I'm using it as my guide.

Rabbit - Galatasaray absolutely destroyed you but it didn't matter as you were still able to finish in fourth and earn that Europa League spot! Well done to qualify for a European competition! Like you pointed out Türüc was unbelievable and in my opinion he is maybe the biggest reason behind your success. It'll be interesting to see whether you keep him or sell him for a lot of money. Good luck in the World Cup!

Azpilicueta was a great piece of business to replace Balenziaga imo.I doubt you'll be losing the 10 point advantage you have in the league anytime soon. Great looking squad by the way! So do you have an attacking midfidler, normal midfielder and a defensive mid in your 4-3-3?
You are correct, I do have a huge amount of left-over budget. I'm not completely sure but I think I have around €30M-40M in the bank. And you are correct again, the 4-3-3 I'm using has an attacking midfielder, a normal central midfielder and a defensive midfielder.

And finally, the biggest news of the last couple of days, Chico is back! It is marvellous to have you back amongst us, man! Congratulations on the marriage, may it be a loving and lasting one! Judging by her being okay with your FIFA addiction and with you even talking to her about FIFA I can see you two being together for a long time haha Shame about the police department thing but I'm sure you'll get hired soon!

Let's not forget about our first official face reveal! You posting those pictures really made me think about how friendly, united and bonding this thread is! We are still complete strangers on the internet but we also know each other really well. That is something magical to me.

Also, I hope your cute puppy learns some discipline fast

Simppu12 - Walsall is my career I'm sticking with and building. I tried some things after my Spurs career (tournaments, playing all EPL games) but it almost becomes a job playing wvery team. So I decided to stick with Walsall and see how far I can build until 2017 comes out.

                              February 2017

                              Real Betis 1 - 2 Athletic Club
                              Digard 80'
                              Muniain 11', Garcia 24'

                              Athletic Club 3 - 0 Malaga CF
Villalibre 7' pen, Aketxe 19', Torres OG 81'

                              Real Sociedad 1 - 1 Athletic Club
                              Jonathas 76'
                              Aduriz 42'

                              Round of 16, 1st leg
                              Athletic Club 0 - 0 Arsenal FC

To be fair, we deserved to lose this game. Arsenal's defence was rock-solid with Sokratis leading it. We didn't lose this game only because Gorka Iraizoz had the game of his life in goal, making several game-saving saves. Fortunately for us Arsenal didn't score any away goals, either.

                              Athletic Club 0 - 0 Sevilla FC

                              FC Barcelona 1 - 4 Athletic Club
                              Neymar 70', Zdjelar s/o 45'
                              Aduriz 25', 60', 84', Williams 64'

Somehow we managed to dominate this game against one of the best teams in the world, although the sending off of Barcelona holding midfielder Sasa Zdjelar had something to do with it. Our hero was Aritz Aduriz who managed to net a hattrick past Claudio Bravo. It seems like the 35-year-old is finally finding his form again after a very shaky first half of the season.

                              March 2017

                              Athletic Club 3 - 0 Las Palmas
                              S. Merino 29', Garcia 59' pen, Guillermo 90'

                              Round of 16, 2nd leg
                              Arsenal FC (2) 2 - 3 (3) Athletic Club
                              Cazorla 19', Giroud 54'
                              Villalibre 34' pen, 45' pen, Williams 40'

A very inspirational ten-minute period at the end of the first half, which included two penalty calls in our favour, was all we needed to beat Arsenal and get into the quarter finals. Olivier Giroud managed to pull one back for the Gunners in the beginning of the 54th minute but we did well to hold on to our away-goal lead. Next up is an old enemy we faced twice earlier this season and failed to beat both times: Manchester City.

                              Athletic Club 3 - 1 UD Almeria
                              S. Merino 17', Aduriz 22', Guillermo 90'
                              Lekue 37'

Deportivo la Coruña 1 - 4 Athletic Club
                              Gutierrez 31'
                              Williams 5', 45', Insua OG 54', Aduriz 80'

Ruben Pardo broke his ankle and will be out for three months.

                              Denmark 0 - 3 Bulgaria
                              Berbatov 33', 55', Nedelev 76'

                              Italy 3 - 1 Bulgaria
                              Immobile 9', Criscito 65', Candreva 83' pen
                              Micanski 90'

                              La Liga Table

I forgot to write it down, apologies. We are still leading by around eight points.

                              My Thoughts

Form - Apart from the games against Sociedad and Sevilla, we won all of our league games in February and March. Not only that, we managed to score three or more goals in every one of those games apart from the Real Betis game and the matches previously mentioned. My only complaint is that we tend to let some very sloppy goals and, consequently, fail to keep the clean sheets we deserve. Other than that everything is going very well.

Players - Cesar Azpilicueta has slotted nicely into the starting eleven and he has been solid in every game he has played. Furthermore, he picked up an assist in his second appearance for the team and that is already half the amount of goals Balenziaga created in the first half of the season for us.

Merino on the other hand has made a couple of appearances for us and he has been alright. His lack of experience shows in his often poor-ish marking, and he is sluggish and slow, but other than that I'm very happy with the young man. He is improving nicely and (spoiler) he will really impress me in a couple of games in April with his ability to break up opposition play.

And then of course we have the same old Iñaki Williams, Ager Aketxe and Asier Villalibre who continue to perform well so nothing new there. There is something new, though, and that is the fact that Aritz Aduriz, who is retiring together with Gorka Izaizoz after this season, has started netting in goals. Hopefully he manages to finish his last season on a high note.

                              Youth Academy

Juan Fernandez (RM, 68 ovr, 75-81 pot, 17 y/o, Argentina)

Zacarias Abeledo (CAM, 68 ovr, 80-86 pot, 18 y/o, Spain)

Baptiste Fadhloun (RB, 68 ovr, 79-85 pot, 16 y/o, France)

Matthieu Jeannot (CF, 68 ovr, 79-85 pot, 17 y/o, France)

There has been one change in the academy: Placido Orellana (RM/70 ovr/18y/exciting prospect) is not there anymore since we decided to promote him at the end of March. He will make his debut in April.

Bulgaria - The two qualifiers we played in March were like day and night: first we hammered Denmark and then got hammered by Italy. Our defence melted completely against the four-time World Cup winners and there was nothing we could do about it. Luckily, we are still top of the group with two games to go. Everything is still possible, though.

                              World Cup Qualifying Group

                              1. Bulgaria, 17 pts
                              2. Russia, 14 pts
                              ---------------------------------
                              3. Italy, 13 pts
                              4. Denmark, 13 pts
                              5. Republic of Ireland, 6 pts
                              6. Wales, 5 pts

Sorry for the long breaks between updates, I have been busy with school. Fortunately today marks the day when all of the important business is over and done with which means that I should be able to post more often. Also, the next update will consist of the end of the season.

Thank you for reading this post! I hope you have enjoyed it! Any feedback or suggestions will be appreciated!

I liked Milner at LM because he has good crossing, and is a bit more defensive so as to allow me to play Emre Can at the CM/CDM spot. He's obviously not the quickest, lol...but he works--for now
