How do you think I'll feel in three weeks....lol

I got it in April and was really into until my laptop died at the start of this month. Waiting til I get back before I get a new lappy so I can play again. It's really enjoyable imo.

I had last years on my phone but it's too hard to play on the phone. That's a lot of reading and options for a small screen.

But I think on the PC it would be great.

He's too slow for what I want at LB, but he is actually my 3rd choice CB as of right now. He's 6'2" so he can fill in just fine there. I see him as my long term replacement for Brayford in the middle and he and Nugent could form a partnership that could last me most of my career if I hang on to them.

I've still got the Malaga save file. I played through August. However, I may start a Ponferradina one in Liga Adelante. I like building squads, and I feel Malaga is too much of a finished product already.

I see, Leganes might be fun/challenging too. They're near clinching promotion IRL but have one of the lowest budgets in the league and their roster is nothing to brag about (which makes their season IRL so amazing)

                FIFA 16 - Season 2

                The Blades

                January 2017

                F.A. Cup
                Derby County 0 - 0 Sheffield United
                MOTM: Carson

Match Summary: Both teams were evenly matched and the result was what both teams earned. Each side had chances coming close, Sheffield's chance came from Sharp breaking down the right side and playing it to the middle for Townsend who had to stretch to get his foot on it only to see it clang off the post. Derby had a couple of their own shots smash the post but neither side was able to put one in the back of the net and the Blades earned a replay in front of their home crowd.

                Sheffield United 0 - 0 Bolton Wanderers
                MOTM: Coutts

Match Summary: A poor offensive display from both sides saw only 1 shot on target for each of them. Neither keeper had much to do, and the match took place mainly in the midfield with possession changing non stop.

                F.A. Cup Replay
                Sheffield United 1 - 0 Derby County
                SHU - Abraham 11'
                MOTM: Harris

Match Summary: In his debut with the club, Abraham made an impact early. He took advantage of a massive mistake by the keeper who rolled the ball to his closest defender, but Abraham was close enough to run in and step in front and have an easy shot into the open net for the lead. As Derby started pushing harder towards the end for an equalizer, Weimann earned himself a second yellow and saw himself sent off all but ensuring the win for the home side.

                Charlton Athletic 2 - 1 Sheffield United
                CHA - Vetokele 49', Ba 66'
                SHU - Sharp 45' (PEN)
                MOTM: Henderson

Match Summary: Sharp found a gap between the defense and was about to go through on goal when Bauer slid in and took him out conceding the penalty. Sharp converted into the top right corner for the lead just before half. The lead didn't last long as Solly played a long ball into the box and found Vetokele running in for the header across to the far post. Later on Guomundsson sent a corner into the box and it found Ba's head for the powerful header past the keeper for the winning goal.

                F.A. Cup
                Bristol City 0 - 1 Sheffield United
                SHU - Abraham 71'
                MOTM: Long

Match Summary: The first half ended with neither side being able to get an advantage but the Blades kept attacking as the second half wore on. They earned a corner in the 71st minute and Campbell-Ryce sent the ball into the middle where Abraham was able to overpower his defender and get his head on it directing it across the goal into the bottom left corner for the deciding goal.

Sheffield United 0 - 0 Preston North End
                MOTM: Long

Match Summary: It was a rather lackluster performance from the home side today as they registered only 4 shots total and 3 on goal. They almost had the goal to separate them just before the half time whistle when Townsend stood over a free kick just outside the box and sent it crashing off the crossbar. Outside of that nothing really offered much of a challenge for the opposing side.

                Leicester City 0 - 0 Sheffield United
                MOTM: Long

Match Summary: Another goalless performance from the Blades, but they really should have gotten more out of this one. Schmeichel played an unbelievable game coming up big time after time and then the away side saw two more attempts hit the post as well. Luck just wasn't on their side for this one and despite their numerous chances, nothing hit the back of the net.

                      FIFA 16 - Season 2

                      The Blades

                      February 2017

                      Sheffield United 1 - 2 Brentford FC
                      SHU - Townsend 71'
                      BRE - Emnes 74', Woods 90'
                      MOTM: Long

Match Summary: The first 70 minutes proved uneventful, but the last 20 were packed with action. In the 71st minute Davis found Townsend in a gap on the left side of the goal and he fired his shot past the keeper into the right side of the goal. Jota sent a cross in in the 74th minute and it was headed down for McEachran to power at the keeper and he was only able to push it straight up and Emnes was the first to get to it for the finish into the open net. Emnes got free down the left side and sent a low cross in that missed it's intended target but ended up falling to Woods on the back post for the simple finish to secure the win in the 90th minute.

                      Middlesbrough 1 - 0 Sheffield United
                      MID - Al Soma 61'
                      MOTM: Cameron

Match Summary: Downing got a good look on the right side of the goal but his shot was well saved by Long. However, long was only able to push the ball back to the middle and Al Soma got to it a half step before Cameron and hit it first time over the keeper and into the back of the net. An unlucky result in a match that was mostly dominated by the away side.

                      F.A. Cup Round of 16
                      Sheffield United 2 - 1 Burnley
                      SHU - Townsend 11', Abraham 48'
                      BUR - Keane 90'
                      MOTM: Howard

Match Summary: Davis brought the ball up on the attack and played it down the right side for Wallace who squared it up and sent it into the box for Townsend to head past the keeper for the opener. Abraham and Townsend both pressured the keeper after a pass back and cut off his passing lanes forcing him to take a bad touch which went straight to Abraham for the easy shot into the open net. Just before the final whistle Keane got the ball on the right side of the goal and fired it just past the defender and inside the near post for a consolation goal.

                      Sheffield United 1 - 0 Nottingham Forest
                      SHU - Townsend 7'
                      MOTM: Long

Match Summary: Odubajo broke free down the right side of the box and he played it to Townsend who was running towards the near post and he squared up to the keeper and powered a low shot under his reach and into the left side of the goal for the early lead that turned out to be the difference at the end of the day.

The Forest project is off to a great start. Definitely going ahead with this. Hope to have the first update up soon. Some major squad changes this first window thanks to some very smart spending! I'm also overdue to leave feedback on the updates that have been coming up so quickly. I'll try to get it all up tomorrow.

I have some sad news about the Bilbao career. I started the new season and played until the beginning of August but I just wasn't enjoying playing with the team anymore. Unfortunately I feel like the career has come to an end and I really apologise for that.

On the bright side, I have quite a few teams in mind for a new career and I'd like to get you guys involved in the choosing process. All of these teams are from Germany as I enjoy playing there the most.

Please, leave a vote in the poll below. I will keep it open for a day or two and see who is the winner after that. Thank you in advance!

Voted for Stuttgart so you can bring them back up and winning titles like they used to. Should be a good challenge for you and for us to read about.

Looking forward to the Forest career Indi!

I also hope to comment on all your updates and get February and possibly March on Accrington out today. Stay tuned.

                              League Match 40
                              Spoiler

                              Gillingham - Newport County (1-1)
                              Collins 13' (Çelik)
                              Hayes 45+'
                              Dall'Oglio 22'

Joe Day, a former Exile, continues to have nothing but inspired performances against Newport County as he racked up 9 saves to help his side earn a point as they continue to fight for a playoff spot. With just one day of rest following the JPT Final Marccelino gave the B-squad a chance to impress and they were actually quite emphatic, especially on the attack where they shot 15 times (9 on target).

                              League Match 41
Newport County - Coventry City (3-0)
                              Ambrose 31' (Odubajo)
                              Gordon 40' (Binnom-Williams)
                              Ambrose 90+'

Neither team created a lot of scoring opportunities but The Exiles were lethal in the chances they got to put away one of the teams destined for relegation. Ambrose casually walked away with another brace while Gordon's goal is below:

                              League Match 42
Southend United - Newport County (0-1)
                              Ambrose 31' (Ince)

As chances would have it Ambrose scored the only goal of the game to, with the help of other results around the league, clinch PROMOTION TO THE CHAMPIONSHIP for The Exiles! It seemed all but a foregone conclusion for a few weeks now that this would happen. With four games left in the season it'll be interesting to see how Marccelino will utilize his roster, although it's worth noting there's still one more thing to achieve.

                              League Match 43
                              Newport County - Shrewsbury (1-1)
                              Collins 38' (pen)
                              Ince 60' (Ambrose)

Did Ince score the goal of the season? That's for you to decide:

                              <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/QOkgcu_R49A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

What's not debatable is that his screamer from 25+ yards out not only helped The Exiles earn a draw in this game, but also also helped them clinch the League One title! Newport County's dominance over the last couple of seasons (earning promotion while winning league titles in back-to-back seasons) is a rare sight and you have to assume teams in the Championship are paying close attention to one of their future opponents.

                              League Match 44
                              Doncaster - Newport County (2-1)
                              Pablo 4' (Collins)
                              Main 49'
                              Keegan 66'

With nothing else to play for and facing a relegation-bound team on the road Marccelino chose to play his C-squad in this game and ended up paying the price as the youngsters were unable to sustain an early lead and ended up losing the game. While everyone at the club was excited for Juan Pablo (an Argentinian academy-product) to score his first career goal, that would turn out to be the only shot The Exiles would get to take during the game. To their credit, the held Doncaster to just three shots (all on target) but the hosts made good use of them.

                              League Match 45
Newport County - Bradford City (0-0)

Marccelino chose to play his main squad in the home finale but unfortunately fans had to settle for a scoreless draw. It was a good back and forth game but centered too much in the middle as each team was only able to shoot the ball five times.

                              League Match 46
Port Vale - Newport County (1-1)
                              Andoh 59'
                              Ambrose 70' (Odubajo)

Marccelino had initially planned to play his B-squad in this game but Port Vale was coming in with a hot streak that had elevated them to the lead for the last spot into the playoffs, therefore the coach felt it was his duty to the other teams in contention to field his best lineup. Even with that the hosts were able to manage a draw to hang on to 6th place.

Marccelino's Dairy: It's surreal to have won two different leagues in back-to-back seasons. I'm really proud of this roster, from players to staff it has taken everyone's contributions to accomplish what we've done. I struggle to find a balance between making sure our team doesn't get complacent but also doesn't under appreciate the magnitude of this accomplishment. Look at Coventry City for example, two summers ago they were in the Championship and next season they will be playing in League 2, the complete opposite of our road. Doing what we've done isn't easy but if we don't keep it up we could quickly waste all of this work.

What a great season Chelsea had, winning the local treble. A part of me hope we draw them in a cup game next season just to test ourselves against them. The focus will definitely be the league though, I think this will be a rare case of arriving through promotion with a big target on our backs because of the back-to-back titles we have won, I expect to get every team's best shot. I have no doubts we have a roster that can compete at the next level but it won't be easy as there are a good number of teams that will be battling for promotion either directly or through the playoffs.

But we also enjoyed winning a cup competition this season and after coming so close to winning the COC last season I have no doubts we'll try to compete for a cup next season. It's surreal to think we could do that as Championship team but it wouldn't be the first time that's done.

Now I have to go to Russia with Finland for this summer's World Cup. I hope I can replicate this kind of success.
