Overall it was a tough start, but you finished the month really strong.
If you thought you were surprised, imagine playing that match. I just kept saying "3-1, still good lead....3-2 close but we can do it....3-3 oh god don't lose just get the point!"

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Indi: Great questions. Nice way to summarize everything you have planned and upcoming. I look forward to following your path to promotion, Forest are a club that has always had my interest for some reason.

Simppu: Pulisic would be a steal at that price! How do you see him playing to start? More as an impact sub or a starter?

A lot of really good transfers and you gave yourself some insurance in case a few moves don't work out. Great window!

Texasbum: Nice string of wins moves ya up the table. You also kept the FA cup trophy alive, any idea who else is left in the tournament?

Jamie McKenzie has a ton of potential, do you plan on signing him and loaning him out or training yourself?

Cruzerr: Like everyone else, I can't wait to see what NT you picked. This years Everton team look much more balanced than in the past. You're going to have your hands full trying to compete in the league and the CL, top 4 looks like it's going to be a battle again. Do you see yourself taking the Capital one cup or the FA cup a little easier if necessary?

Keano: Playing back to back days is crazy. I'm amazed you were able to pick up the win. Did you do a full squad rotation? Hopefully you don't become rusty being off 3 weeks and drop crucial points at the end.

Moose: Not sure what can be said that hasn't already. Amazing career! Your videos are truly entertaining.

vrabbit: Congratulations on the trophy! It's always nice to be able to hold silverware before the end of the year, but winning 2-5 is even more impressive. Awesome way to clinch promotion with that goal! Now that you are promoted, do you have any big transfer targets in mind?

Still a lot of reading and catching up to do. So many awesome careers going on in this thread.

The Semi-Final is Sheffield United (me) vs Sunderland and then Crystal Palace vs Cardiff City on the other side. It's a really surprising final 4 when you look at it haha.

I think with McKenzie I am going to keep him in my squad once I sign him and train him up myself. I am really really hoping he has some great work rates so he can fit into what I want. If not I will make him fit one way or another

          Spoiler

Nothing worse than starting off well, getting a lead and watching your team dissolve in the second half... and not come away with the 3 points...

It was nice to see you beat up on Thistle (expected) and West Ham (not so expected although obviously I'm not familiar with how good they are at this point in your CM). Really nice start to the season and I definitely look forward to the next update to get the goods on your game vs Arsenal (and Tottenham!) and how you do in the EL.
Watching Exeter's moves was really weird :P they kept bidding for Neymar and Hazard and in the end got Patrick Roberts but sold arguably their best two centre backs in Magallan and Ake. Hopefully they'll still play to the standards I know they're capable of. Thanks and West Ham are a yo-yo club in my save; they get relegated one year and promoted back the next despite having a decent team.

Oh I had sooo much fun up against Arsenal and Tottenham which I'll post about soon! I think to gain favour with the board, I'll need to win the Europa League which I feel might be a big-ish ask but i'm definitely setting my sights on it.

Haha, yeah Exeter got some really tough games early on in the season and managed a draw against Man Utd which means they'll probably start climbing soon although I doubt they'll be winning the title anytime soon without me. Thanks, i'm really not sure how long it'll take me to replicate my success or I might even move before that but i have absolutely no idea where i'll be going afterwards!

I see this every time I finish year 1 in a cm. For some reason West Ham are always towards the bottom of the table.

                FIFA 16 - Season 2

                The Blades

                April 2017

                Sheffield United 1 - 0 MK Dons
                SHU - Townsend 12'
                MOTM: Harris

Match Summary: Woolford used some nice dribbling to beat his man down the left side of the box and just as he got to the end line he sent a low ball across the box where Townsend was waiting on the back post for the easy tap in for the only goal of the match.

                Watford FC 2 - 2 Sheffield United
                WAT - Wanyama 11', Capoue 15'
                SHU - Abraham 13', Townsend 74'
                MOTM: Long

Match Summary: Berghuis sent a corner in to the near post and Wanyama was there to meet it and place it past the keeper for the early lead. Woolford sent in a corner of his own and Abraham was able to rise above his defender in the middle and flick the ball across to the far post for the equalizer. Poor defending let Igalho dribble all the way to the edge of the box and lay it off for Capoue on the left side for the shot back across to the far post to beat the keeper. Woolford cut in from the left and played it to Townsend in the middle who took his time and placed the ball between two defenders and into the back of the net to save a point for his club.

                F.A. Cup Semi-Final
                Sheffield United 0 - 1 Sunderland AFC
                SUN - Johnson 2'
                MOTM: Johnson

Match Summary: Vazquez played the ball to Johnson standing right on the edge of the box and he turned and hit a stunning right footed shot curling it towards the goal and it tucked just inside the near post to put Sunderland ahead in just the 2nd minute and that score held for the rest of the match.

                Hull City 0 - 2 Sheffield United
                SHU - Abraham 21', Cameron 76'
                MOTM: Abraham

Match Summary: Livemore slid through Odubajo inside the box just as he was about to send a cross in and Abraham converted it easily to put the Blades on the scoreboard. Cameron got the ball on the right wing and brought it towards the middle to fire his shot low and back across to the near post to double the lead.

                Sheffield United 2 - 0 Cardiff City
                SHU - Davis 35', Abraham 73' (PEN)
                MOTM: Long

Match Summary: Cameron was played the ball springing down the right wing and he sent his cross to the far post picking out Davis running in for the strong header back across the keeper and into the net. Abraham found Cameron running into the right side of the box and he took just one touch before Ralls slid in from behind and took him down to concede a penalty. Abraham never left any doubt as he powered it into the top left corner to double the lead.

Would it be unrealistic for a team to ditch its best centre half for an unknown kid who may or may not pan out to be the next Ricardo Carvalho?

Not entirely unrealistic for a new manager to come in and rate his players differently than the previous manager and bring in his own players in favor of what he was given. It happens often enough but the fans usually don't take it so well unless the new guy performs on the field and makes them forget about it. It actually would make a nice side story in your career

Agreed. Could be a great move in a year or the fans could hate you for it.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

Tex - Very good to see that you managed to bounce back after that month of goalless draws. Very well done to reach the FA Cup semi finals, although losing in such a late stage must've been a bit disappointing. Abraham has been scoring a lot lately and that game in hand going into May will come in handy. It could even decide whether you'll make it into the playoffs or not. Good luck!

Josh - Thanks! Pulisic will spend this season as a substitute and next season, when I sign him permanently, he could even become a starter.

About your own career: Townsend is a brilliant signing with good stats and nice potential. You got off to a very good start with a win against Arsenal and a draw against Man United in the league and a hammering of Palace in the cup! Hull are a very interesting team for me and I like that you chose them. Also, I had something very similar to that Southampton draw happen to me with Stuttgart.

Indi - Brilliant write-up again! I'm looking forward to see how you do with Forest.

Sportsie - Man, that sucks! My suggestion is to just write down the results from the calendar and then just continue playing from where you left off.

Keano - You have been in great form since January and you continued that in February. Sure, you dropped a few points, but that doesn't matter much as you're still in first with a huge gap between you and fourth. I really hope you manage to continue your winning ways in the FA Cup!

Have fun in your Irish camp thingy!

Moose - That midfield you've got is scary! Speaking of scary, it's unbelievable that Lacazette missed that sitter against Southampton! As Keano pointed out, it's good to see that Roberto (who might just be your lover :P ) is already making an impact with that 'lovely head of hair'. Well-deserved win against Watford, too. Out of the players at the end I'd go for Rondon because he isn't that popular on the game and it'd be fun to see how he does for you. As some YT comments suggested, bringing Carlos Tevez back would also be amazing!

Rabbit - Congratulations on well-deserved promotion to the Championship! You really rolled through the league this season! Great job winning the J. Paint trophy, as well! Lifting a trophy is always nice. Ambrose has been unbelievable for you and I'm really looking forward to see how he and the rest of the team do next season in the Championship! Good luck in the World Cup!

Aquaman - Good to have you back! You performed well in the pre-season tournament despite losing at the end. Fortunately it didn't slow you down as you managed to beat Millwall. Good luck this season, I think you'll manage to earn promotion!

                        A couple of mailbag questions:
What areas of the team are you looking to strengthen?
How much emphasis will you put on cup competitions?

Hedges - Are you still spending your time enjoying Football Manager instead of playing FIFA?

Cabee - It must feel so weird to manage a different team than Exeter! Newcastle is a fine choice and you are already making an impact, getting them to second after a month of play. Hopefully you manage to do great things with them, as well! Also, I'm very happy that you brought Compton to the north with you!

SMH - You continued to have scoring problems in October but on the bright side, you didn't concede a single goal. Your defence seems to be quite strong so all you need is attacking quality.

That should be everything from the last eleven pages. I'm very sorry if I missed someone!

I hate to do this to you guys but my next Betis update is going to be from The Beginning of the Season to the Start of the January Transfer window as well as a Squad Report. With there being so many games I have to cover there won't be any of my "famous" interviews this time around. I will however give you a League Table.

Damn you guys move fast! Still trying to get to everyone's careers so bare with me please. Also please note some of these replies may be outdated by now :/

Josh4: I know EXACTLY what you mean with leaving Spurs. That's exactly how I am when I play with Guadalajara. The best part about playing with Luton now is that I don't feel anything holding me back I have full liberty to shape the squad with different players and formations of my choosing. I'm sure you're feeling the same way with Hull. Sounded like a difficult preseason, but that's what it's all about! Sounds like you already identified the problem. Looking forward to your first official match!

Tex: Well somebody is having a tough time in front of the net! All the scoreless draws actually don't worry me as much as the fact that in the games where you were able to score, the most you could score was 1 goal. Looking at your team and formation I thought you could net some more, with a striker like Sharp up front and your youth graduate right behind him. I played with Leeds for a bit last year and even though Sharp wasn't the highest rated he was my striker of choice in the squad.
EDIT: Alright now there you go! Someone is finally banging the goals in. Big 4-0 win to make us forget about your difficulty to score. Shame to see you lose out of the FA Cup but making it to the semis is a huge accomplishment with a squad like Sheffield. Your youth squad looks very promising how many stars is your scout?

Keano: Keans! Amazing work with Accrington so far (even though you defeated Wimbledon smh) at least you've got Gornell in your ranks though. How have you liked playing with him? It looks like he's been killing it with goals and assists based on your last update. Congrats on taking back first place!

Simppu: Shame Bilbao didn't work out anymore, but it happens. Really excited to seeing you take the reigns of a struggling team like Stuttgart. Hope you can take them back up to glory. I've always had a bit of a soft spot for them ever since they signed the Mexicans Pardo and Osorio way back in the day - with whom they won the title I had voted for Eint. Frankfurt but looking forward to seeing you face off against your beloved Hertha. No holding back!

Cruzerr: So many games! You're competing really well in the Champions and it looks like that hasn't impacted your squad in the league since you're still tied for 1st place. Looks like you had a really good month.. And then there's Villa. Seriously? What happened? They really do have you studied. At least you got to defeat Tottenham. Even though both of your goals were from the penalty spot.... Hmmmm... Fishy fishy. Stuff against the one team you hate to lose to. Nah just kidding. Great month looking forward to the international pick!

For those not on here don't worry I'll get to you!
