So I've picked St Lucia to start a new game up whilst I've lost interest in my Leeds save for now. I've pretty much got the entire CONCACAF region loaded so most of the national teams are manageable. On that note, I've decided to take control of the club side Northern United All Stars and the national team St Lucia.

I was just going to post what save I was doing, but had this enthralling first match in charge of the club side:

3 shots? all longs shots?
and 6 corners? lol

How do you get a specific guy to work on staying onsides? Whenever I play Harry Kane (young striker on Tottenham) he goes offsides about 6-8 times per game! If he could learn to stay on for a fraction of a second longer he could turn into a star.

Yeah... the tactic I created for this one just seems to do nothing, although it defends pretty well. There's only 14 games in the season (which is incredibly frustrating) and after 10 games, I've scored 11 and conceded 5. I've only scored more than 1 goal 3 times, one was a 4-2 win which was a bit mental. I'm a point behind with 4 games left, but still have the Caribbean Club Championship to come, which might disrupt things a bit.

Does anyone have any experience with trying to cap players who just don't want to play for your country? I keep trying to call them up but they reject. Is it just simply a matter of continuing that and just having patience?

Decided to start a save in Turkey:



Qualified for Champions League in my first season (3rd round). I'm having fun but their registration rules are stupid, if you're not Turkish it counts towards you maximum 8 foreign players on your roster even if you're a EU.

Good news: I easily disposed of Genk in the 3rd round best placed round of the Champions League.

Bad news: I drew Atletico Madrid in the playoff round.

This game is crack. I could play this all day.

Ever since moving to Arsenal, this save has become more and more interesting. After getting Iruna's facilities up to the crack, the first amendment player to come through was a 15-year old Eneko Lekue. Well he's now 29, and after being stripped of his captaincy at Real Madrid, I'm teaming with him again at Arsenal. I can't believe how far this save has come along. Its been a really good one, even if Best XI is messed up somehow.

I ended up getting this game for $15 after i traded a few items into Gamestop and got a $50 steam card from there! Woot, Im excited I can finally play this!

EDIT:

Can anyone help a new guy? Where and how would I get the real faces of the players into the game? Is there anything else I would need to download to enhance the experience?

I really wish I could figure out the editor. I've tried to create a fantasy USA by putting CIS in its stead, extincting all the leagues and teams, and then creating leagues and teams in the new USA (old CIS), and I still crash the editor. Hmmph. I may just have to abandon my idea, which sucks, because I love customization, and while there are other USA pyramids that have promotion/relegation, I kind of wanted to put my own stamp on it. Perhaps I can grab a different editor file and extend it to be what I want...?

Well I got fired from Northern Ireland. 14% win ratio with 7 goals and 15 allowed.
