Got a massive win against Liverpool in the 6th round of the FA Cup. With a huge CL knockout match coming against PSG midweek, I had to rest some key players, so I was nervous about this match.

BTW, their penalty was scored when Suarez acted like he always does and dove live a little bitch.

Have they indicated when a patch is coming out? I haven't been able to really get sucked in by this version yet. Something just feels "off" in the match engine to me. Specifically in the striker play and full backs. Maybe I just haven't had enough time with the tactics. I don't know.

I believe the latest patch tweaked match engine stuff according to patch notes. Having mot played pre patch though I can't tell you if it's better or worse

I think the latest version is 14.1.3, and that was released on November 1, so that's the only version I've played. Typically there is a huge patch that tweaks a lot of things in the match engine and fixes a whole bunch of other bugs in the various leagues. Just wondering if there was any news on that.

Ah, thanks Anners. Haven't turned on the game since before the holiday. I'll have to check it out this week.

The match engine has definitely changed in a way that it should affect whatever tactic you were playing before. I've spent the last few days scratching my head at my own, not realising a patch had come out till the conversation today.

They've probably fixed what's wrong but then broken something else in the process.

I'm typically very happy with the way the developers of this game end up balancing things. In a simulation you can never expect perfection, but they come pretty darn close year after year.

They released a patch on the 27th: http://community.sigames.com/showthr...4.1.4-RELEASED

Edit: I was beaten to it, but the link lists what was fixed/tweaked in the Match Engine.

Two away goals against PSG sets me up nicely for the home leg:

Lost in the home leg to PSG on penalties. We were 9 penalty takers in, and when Digne (who is a 6 in penalties and a 4 in finishing and was looking very nervous) went top right corner past SZCZ, I knew I was sunk. Mertesacker stepped up feebly kicked it right at the keeper, down the middle. Out of the CL. Ouch.
