Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Got a massive win against Liverpool in the 6th round of the FA Cup. With a huge CL knockout match coming against PSG midweek, I had to rest some key players, so I was nervous about this match.
BTW, their penalty was scored when Suarez acted like he always does and dove live a little bitch.Attached FilesComment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Have they indicated when a patch is coming out? I haven't been able to really get sucked in by this version yet. Something just feels "off" in the match engine to me. Specifically in the striker play and full backs. Maybe I just haven't had enough time with the tactics. I don't know.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I think the latest version is 14.1.3, and that was released on November 1, so that's the only version I've played. Typically there is a huge patch that tweaks a lot of things in the match engine and fixes a whole bunch of other bugs in the various leagues. Just wondering if there was any news on that.Comment

They've probably fixed what's wrong but then broken something else in the process.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
I'm typically very happy with the way the developers of this game end up balancing things. In a simulation you can never expect perfection, but they come pretty darn close year after year.Comment

Edit: I was beaten to it, but the link lists what was fixed/tweaked in the Match Engine.Last edited by rsnomar05; 12-02-2013, 04:07 PM.Comment

Re: ***The Official Football Manager Thread***
Lost in the home leg to PSG on penalties. We were 9 penalty takers in, and when Digne (who is a 6 in penalties and a 4 in finishing and was looking very nervous) went top right corner past SZCZ, I knew I was sunk. Mertesacker stepped up feebly kicked it right at the keeper, down the middle. Out of the CL. Ouch.Comment
