lolol I've done that many of times.

One time I just said **** it, and let him play the entire 1st half in goal.

I decided to play the B team and lost to Juventus, so that might have been a mistake. But at least we beat Barca 3-0 at home (in a match where Barca was so thoroughly dominated they never looked like scoring or even having a chance to score) and are through to the CL semis:

The good news is I drew City in the CL Semis, as they were preferable to Bayern Munich or Real Madrid. The bad news is that Javier Hernandez got injured in training and will be out for both legs unless his painkilling injections hold up.

FM 15 is my favorite version of the game. The match engine is the best it has been in years, which means I truly feel like my tactical design and decisions are responsible for a lot of my wins (as opposed to thinking "well, I won, but it was thanks to the corner glitch"). In addition, players in FM 15 are way more vocal about things like playing time, their desire to leave the team, etc., so you really have to work harder than in years past to ensure the squad stays happy. You can't just sign players, set a tactic and be good, because an unhappy squad will perform poorly on the pitch.

There are, of course, still weak spots. The press conferences continue to improve, but they are still extremely repetitive. And several times players who are first team starters have complained about lack of first team football and threatened to go to the captain if I don't acquiesce to their demands. But there is nothing to acquiesce too, since they are starting nearly every match. There have been other bugs, like high scores and too many injuries, but thankfully those have been patched.

I could go on, but in short I think FM 15 is fantastic and worth every penny. But if I were you I would download the demo to see if you like it.

Wowzers nomar you're doing awesome. I just got back into the game again. I still have my Forest save going as well as my new Juventus save. I'm a big Buffon fan so this should be fun. I edited the DB so Dybala and Khedira are coming at the end of the season. My goal is to build from the academy and signing really young prospects as the core players are ageing. I have Romagna and Vittale who my coaches say are promising prospects.

                Post January transfer update....

Sold one of my young midfielders, as my switch of using two DMs instead of two CMs kind of left him without a spot, but I managed to get a profit of $2 million on his sale. I did bring in a young Serbian DM by the name of Luka Bacic for $6.5 million from Crvena Zvezda. He has two goals and an assist in his four appearances. Also restructured Lee Wallace's contract to save $300k a year and removed that damn 40% yearly raise clause his agent forced me to put in on his last contract (I wanted to keep him as the fans adore him). He also wanted a head coach release clause as well. I love you too Lee.

That Champions League group was rough....but I defied expectations and finished 3rd to advance to the Knockout stages of Europa League. More continental football for Rangers. Got a win at home against Dortmund, a home draw against Man City, and a road draw against Dortmund to secure 3rd place. Drew Olympiacos in the first knockout round of Europa.

As for league action, was down by 9 points at one point, but the chase for the SPL title sits as such....

You're going to love Kingsley Coman. He's been a huge thorn in my side at Roma. It doesn't matter how I mark him, what side of his foot I show him on to, he's going to torch me.

Might get relegated but very proud of this.

Lost to United once again in the Capital One Cup, this time in the finals.

However, I beat them in the 5th round of FA Cup. I parked the bus against City and beat them on penalties in the semi-finals. West Brom is 14th in the league, I'm 18th.

Edit: Got relegated and lost to West Brom 2-0. I wanted a trophy, but at least I don't have to play in Europa League next year in Championship.. Time to retool on the fly.

                      CL Semis vs. Man City:

They score two early goals, then go down a man in the first leg (I'm home). I dominate them but can only muster one goal. 2-1 final. In the second leg away, they go up 3-1 on a B.S. penalty call in the 73rd minute. I am thoroughly frustrated with the way these two legs have gone. Especially since I've been the better team again. But one thing I've learned from my Roma side is that they just won't quit. Sule scores from a header in the 80th minute, and then Frederico Bonazzoli scores a wonder goal from deep in the 95th minute. 3-3!!!! WOOOOO!!!!! I LOVE THIS TEAM!!!!

To extra time we go, where Man City elects to go into a defensive bunker formation. I am controlling possession, but on City's first real attack the ref awards them another B.S. penalty. Both times the commentary said the decisions were bad, and the post-match analysis said the ref had some explaining to do following his awarding of the penalties. So now I'm down 4-3 in the 96th, and ready to risk a suspension by tearing the ref a new one in the press. I am thoroughly pissed, so much so that I am verbally cursing out a computer game referee. But as I said earlier, this Roma squad won't quit. In minute 107, Florenzi strips the ball from Aguero in midfield and lofts a beautiful through-ball for Tielemans. Tielemans takes the pass in stride, side-steps a defender, steps into the box, and blasts a shot that is miraculously saved by City's GK, Declan Rudd. However, Rudd can only push the ball right into the path of Frederico Bonazzoli. Bonazzoli taps in the easy rebound and Roma are ahead on away goals 4-4!!!! WOOOOO!!!!! DID I MENTION I LOVE THIS TEAM?!!!!

Now it's my turn to go defensive. Problem is, I've used all 3 subs and Tielemans gets injured. I now have to play the final 13 minutes down a man. *GULP* Thankfully, however, my squad is completely motivated, and every city player is looking nervous. City are constantly turning the ball over and aren't even getting close to my goal. Then in the 177th minute, Zabaleta commits a stupid penalty. The commentary had no issue with that one, and it looked like Deulofeu was clearly tripped. Sliding tackles from behind in the box on are often bad ideas, as Zabaleta learned the hard way. Bonazzoli stepped up and blasted the PK into the top left corner to complete his hat-trick, and Roma took a commanding 5-4 lead! City would have to score twice, but thanks to their nervous morale they never even threatened.

With that 5-4 aggregate win, we are now moving on to our second consecutive CL Final. HAVE I TOLD YOU I LOVE THIS TEAM?!!!!!

                      Wow, what an exhausting match.

I really want to sign Tielemans but I want to see how Sturraro and Vittale pan out as well as already having Vidal, Pogba and Marchisio still in the mix. Luckily I don't have to worry about that until January

What a crazy semi! Great win, hopefully the momentum continues and you'll be able to finish the job in the final.

Also, some guy posted a pretty epic story of his quest to win the World Cup on Reddit It's stories like these that make FM one of the best games out there.

Bring on Olympique de Marseille. We've met in two previous Europa League contests. I have advanced passed them, though I've never actually beaten them yet (thank you away goal rule).

Thanks, and I'm also holding out hope that the momentum carries over. I might now have a decision to make, too, because Frederico Bonazzoli is on the hot-streak of his life and scored the massive hat-trick to take me through to the CL Final. Bonazzoli has had 5 consecutive games with a 9+ match rating and has scored in all of them. But my starting striker, Javier Hernandez, has been the better striker during the season. I will be alternating my A and B teams in the final league matches (since the title is all but settled), so I guess we'll see if Bonazzoli's form continues.

Thanks. It was a real roller coaster with me going from pissed to elated to pissed to elated again.

Tielemans has been fantastic for me. Because his passing, dribbling, first touch, technique, and vision are all elite he creates so many chances. He also takes my free kicks, which is how he scores most of his goals for me. His big weakness comes from his poor tackling ability. At first, he was easily getting beaten by opposing players when trying to take the ball from them and was picking up too many yellows due to mistimed challenges. I specifically trained him in tackling for awhile to get his rating up, but if you buy him you may need to pair him with a more defensively able CM until Tielemans becomes at least passable at tackling. Thankfully for me I had De Rossi who was fantastic at both the offensive and defensive ends of the pitch.

Considering that I went a man down in the 20th minute and fell behind just before halftime, I'll take a draw at Celtic Park. Great individual effort by Daniel Sturridge. There was a stretch where the fans were calling for his head because it was poor performance after poor performance. I stuck with him, and he's now scored 11 goals in the past 13 matches.

I need 18 points to secure Rangers first league title since 2011 and break Celtic's 7 year stranglehold on Scottish football.
