Man how long does it take to get a player to become 'natural' at a new position?

I've been playing Torreria in the Ball Winning Midfielder role for a season and a half, essentially every single match--yet, he still seems a long way off from being 'fully competent'.

Are there any tips or suggestions? Or, have I simply not given it enough time?

Looks like he's already a natural MC. Are you training him as a BWM? If not, that's why he's not natural there, because his stats don't match up.

Regardless, don't pay too much attention to the colored circles. If the player is performing how you want him to, you're fine.

Role suitability can be misleading. I wouldn't worry about whether that circle is green or not in regards to role suitability. He's a natural at CM, which is more important, IMO. If he's got the right attributes to play that role and/or he's played well as a BWM, that's what matters.

The way I look at those circles is that they are narrowing it down to the attributes that are important for what that role is. So really if that circle is half full, it could be that the player is pretty good at all those attributes. Or really good at a a couple of them and not so hot at a couple others. That's not necessarily bad, especially if your system covers for the weakness.

I have just been expecting those circles to “fill green” given his amount of time playing the role. Reckon I’ve misunderstood how it works.

Started a save with the Birmingham Legion in a North American database I downloaded. Excited as this is my first year with the full version of FM after getting mobile in 2014 and last year. I would make a thread for it in the dynasties but I can’t yet, does anyone know what the requirements are to make one?

Fired up a JM save and on at Portsmouth.

Now, this is my first go at this game playing as anyone other than Arsenal, so obviously this experience is much different lol...

So when I go to my U23 team, there are 6 players. Question is, do I need to go out and select free agents to come in, or will my U18's automatically play up? Can I assign an assistant or something to 'fill' the roster?

I'm not sure what to do here...?

After watching this video I decided to start a Grasshoppers save with the intention of getting a new stadium.

You have to make a certain amount of posts to create a thread, how many I'm not sure.

Well, I knew this yo-yo rut I had gotten us into was going to be the end of me. My created club Rotherham County have now fired me. After 20 seasons at the club with 8 league wins and 7 cup wins. Super disappointed, but also kind of glad to be moving on to something else now.



Think I'll stick around in this save and see what interesting jobs popup before moving on to my yearly JM save.

Lost 2-1 to now 4th place Brighton on an 89th minutes goal from a corner. Top 6 in the Premier in my universe is separated by 6 point.

United is bottom half of the table.

More importantly, got a clean sheet in the final match so I end up with 91 goals allowed. The record for most goals allowed in Ligue 1 is 92.
