I was wondering if FM14 lets you do a league with a bunch of different managers?? if yes just the direction I need to go to get it started. or if no is there another version of fm or another game that has it. thanks much.

Yes, you can add multiple managers when you start a save and when you are in the middle of a save. Since you seem to want to do it from the start of a new save, it is done from the add new user screen.

Anyone good with the Advanced editor?? I am stuck where I keep getting a message saying that the league hasn't finished before the update day. How should this be fixed. I think I looked over something but not sure.

I'm diving in for the first time, what are the most essential downloads that I need to have, I've downloaded the cutout facepack, the metallic logos, and the German fix, anything else?

I always like to download the latest kits. Both 2D (prematch screens) and 3D (in match). There's a good 2D megapack out there with 15-16 kits. 3D ones are usually by nation and are slower to come out. Not as important though if you don't play a very zoomed in view.

Ad boards are a good one too, just to make the match a bit more realistic.

There is an extra step involving an xml file. So you have the pictures, which are like any other graphics you have, but also an xml file you have to add. Instructions in the first post here:

If you look at the instructions, they have it separate. I'm not sure if it matters though. They have that because in these sets people like to have a separate set for league and European matches that they change the xml for accordingly. I never cared that much.

One more thing, when setting up a league there are two sets of stars. One says computer speed(maybe) and one says game speed(again maybe) when setting up the desires league my computer speed stayed at 5 stars, but game speed dropped to a half star, so I ended up quitting out.
Is there a way to add in a lot of leagues while still keeping game speed up? Are there other areas that I can skimp on? 3D maybe? If not and I need to make cuts, what is the optimal number of leagues/players. My main interest is Europe and North and South America.

This is my brand new save set-up, though I mostly intend on staying in England, I like having options available. It really depends on what you want to do with your career, I've loaded up the Eastern Europe nations, Scandinavian nations, and North America. My laptop can't handle that much though.

Question, so the only players available are those on that list? How does the Champions League work then? Transfers? I'm thinking I need a rig to play the way I want too lol.

there's database options that help with this, It still simulates all the other leagues and they all make signings, releases, transfers etc, they're just less "involved" and you can't manage in those nations. If you want to load all of the available leagues, yeah, you'll need a rig to do it quickly. But if you're okay waiting around, you can do it on whatever computer you want.
