Yeah, I agree, it was stupid for Director Hall to open his mouth. And to the Daily Mail of all people.

Also, he said Arsenal have 200 million pounds in the bank, and it's hilarious but not surprising that several press sites have leaped all over that and claimed Arsenal have a 200 mil transfer budget.

Today when asked about Benzema's chances of staying at Real are 1000 percent Wenger said:

"1000 percent is a lot, it looks quite convincing."

If we are going lower end for a DM, I'd rather us look at Grosskreutz from Broussia Dortmund. He can play DM very well and either LB or RB if we get into an injury crisis. He'd be dirt cheap too.

To be fair, Lyon doesn't have a ton of depth. They really need to spend some of the windfall from the CL qualification to help the squad out. I kinda wanted to see Lacazzette be able to show what he can do.

I'm kinda surprised Arsene hasn't gone in harder for Dzeko....another guy we've been linked to every summer it seems for years, esp. before he moved to City.

I think he'd be an excellent signing...rotate with Giroud and Welbeck, good goal scorer and Ozil would do him wonders.

I like Dzeko, however he is very similar to what we have in Giroud. Can be just a streaky as Giroud, but he does have EPL winning experience. I think Arsene wants a more mobile striker to go back to what we had between 2002-2005. Cede position a little more and play a ruthless counter attacking game. Alexis, Ozil, Ox/Welbeck with Walcott or someone like Lacazette, Aubameyang, Benzema or Higuain in the front 4 would be lethal in the EPL.

I'm gonna be disappointed if Arsenal don't at least push for a title challenge until May. At this stage Id have them ahead of Chelsea for winning it. They've been back for preseason for a couple of weeks and already they look fluid as always. It's their second consecutive summer of relative stability in terms of the squad and they look good. I still think they're a relatively long term project and that's frightening for the rest of us.

The only worry is if it does reach the run in and they're in the top 2 they might panic. I saw it happen with us in 13/14 and the sole reason was inexperience of being there, which I still see in this Arsenal squad. That said, if it does happen I'm gonna put money on them winning it in 16/17.

I just hope if you finish second its Liverpool who finish 1st haha

There is a lot of talk in the media today that Theo Walcott just signed a new deal, but there is nothing official just yet.

Yea, 4 years at £100,000 a week. Just need to lock down Nacho man for 3-4 years at we are set keeping the core together.

I was excited by the Ozil signing. And of course I was excited by the Alexis signing, but this is the first season in a long time where I feel going in that Arsenal has no big holes. We are not an injury away from Monreal playing at CB, or Vermaelen playing at LB; we finally have great depth.

Does this mean I don't want to see a striker or DM added? Of course not, but this is the most optimistic I have been since the 07-08 season (where we had the league lead for so long and then Eduardo got broken by a horror tackle).

On a more serious note, it's going to be fun watching Reine-Adelaide and Zelalem together if they get Capitol One Cup time.

As for the parade, just make sure to keep Jack far away so he doesn't have any fun.

Still think Jack being charged by the FA is ridiculous.
