I watched the first half on mute. Now in the second, I'm able to put on my headphones, only to realize Robbie Savage is commentating. Yeah, back to mute.

I’d play the backups against Ostersund, and play the strongest squad for the cup final.

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
You guys are 2nd favorite behind Atletico who may or may not even take this competition seriously depending on how much pressure they can put on Barca at the top of La Liga.
There’s always a chance of getting knocked out by the likes of someone decent like Lyon, Leipzig, or even Napoli (who are oddly at 100/1) but most of those clubs are going to prioritize the league first as their way of securing a CL spot next year.

Napoli are 100/1 because they are trying to lose, lol
Arsenal should honestly be trying to win the EL at the expense of some league matches later. It's probably their best chance at the CL next year.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 02-16-2018, 01:48 PM.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
With our defense in shambles, Mustafi escaping cards like Houdini, and Bellerin always having a poor tackle leading to a penalty in him I'd be shocked, absolutely shocked if we even muster as much as a whimper against Man City in either match.
We should focus entirely on the EL, League be damned.Support Local Sports

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
So, looks like Ramsey is out for tomorrow, but possible for our Carabao Cup Final.
Welbeck and Mhki are starting against Ostersunds.
I was kind of hoping Nketiah would've gotten a shot to start, but I certainly understand that wasn't realistic, or prudent. Hopefully Welbeck shows up and puts in a decent shift.
On for actual discussion topics:
Jack Wilshere is out of contract soon, New deal?
Santi Cazorla is out of contract soon, New deal?
Aaron Ramsey is out of contract next year, New deal?
Petr Cech is out of contract next year, New deal?
David Ospina is out of contract next year, do we try to offload him in the summer?
Is Bellerin leaving for Spain this year? Do we try to put Calum Chambers back at right back if so?Support Local Sports

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
It must be a tough situation regarding Santi. He himself stated that he might not be available to play until 2019. He's 33 years old, Arsenal don't usually give more than a year contract extension to over 30's. Sadly, he may not even play again.Comment

Re: ***The Official Arsenal Gunners" Thread***
If Santi took a paycut, not even necessarily a significant one, I'd love to hang on to him until he got healthy, and give him a final run before seeing him off. I hold very few sentiments towards players, but Cazorla is definitely one of them.Support Local Sports
