That is a rapid front 3 for sure. You’d have to be crazy to play a high line against that.

Will want to see their approach against a team that sticks 10 men behind the ball. No more sideways FC please.

Ceballos starts in our best eleven.

I've only watched him with the Spain U21s, I imagine he'll replace Ozil if he starts, that would probably rotate our midfield into something like this

Ceballos becomes more withdrawn and Pepe and Auba would cut in slightly more to condense the field down the centre. I honestly don't know enough about Ceballos and how he fits to put him in to the full tactical plan though. I assume his defensive workrate is better than Ozil's though, so I imagine he'd be like Ramsey in place of Ozil.

Sub him on when Ozil does his usual disappearance act in the big matches.

Not watching the friendly but a lot of comments have been about how off Monreal looks.

I actually think Ceballos could replace Xhaka.

                Pepe Official.

Tierney and a centreback for happiness.

Pepe will wear #19, so ignore my #23 above.

This is not good, as he was very poor when I saw him in Charlotte.

He’s been so consistent for so long. If his poor form continues, it just hammers home the importance of making another signing in defense (preferably two).

Rob Holding played 60 minutes for the under-23s today.

At least AMN scored that own goal in a friendly. I bet he’ll never, ever, ever do that again.

Lesson learned, better now than when it matters.

I'm really, really torn about Eddie going on loan.

I loved the idea of him playing every Europa League group game up front, and perhaps even continuing into the early knockout stages. (really, I say play youth until we're out and then oh well)

If we're prepared to let him go on loan, I'm guessing that definitely means not as much Auba + Laca playing together, but instead rotating. Does this mean more Mkhi starting? Iwobi? Or does it mean Nelson gets a good number of starts out wide?

                            So many thoughts.

Just saw it—seems to be way, way overblown. Before I saw it I read he "tossed the shirt aside" or something to that effect—he didn't.

It's just another example of the ridiculous ways transfers are now expected to be announced officially. I hate all of them.

Anyway, the joke is on him—he'll still be wearing a Puma kit.
