From a neutral viewpoint, I think this match should be called off. This is a silly way to decide something as important as a World Cup qualifying match.

This is one of the craziest/most amazing soccer matches I've seen. Finish the match, the players want it done, the fans want it played, this is great stuff.

Edit: and I should mention, the pitch is very much still playable. The ball is still bouncing, and it's not frozen or waterlogged. The ref should take a few mins if needed and allow the lines to be cleared and go from there.
