re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
i think there is some truth to what he said. but ImTellinTim, lets talk about the USMNT. it was an incredible performance, the backline really worked hard to keep Mexico off the scoreboard. who would have thought that Jamaica and USA would both hold Mexico to 0-0 draws at Azteca? Do you think the team is better now with Guzan and without Donovan as opposed to with Howard and Donovan?
Shots, Shots on goal, corner kicks, territory and possession were heavily in Mexico's favor, but I guess that is to be expected in Azteca. It is always a good sign when you can grind out a draw on the road when the other team has that many stats in their favor. hopefully the US can work on getting more consecutive passes on offense. consistent last ditch defending was key in Mexico, but hopefully in the remaining qualification matches they can find that balance of solid buildup, creating chances, and keeping enough defenders back and in position to limit opponent chances.Comment

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
Michael Bradley's move to Italy and Roma have done wonders for him and will do the same for the USMNT. If Donovan is back, I expect some great play between him, Donovan and Dempsey. Donovan being back would take some heat off of Altidore up top as well imo. While Altidore's touch was awful at times, he's showed some promise in the one two's he played against Costa Rica and the one with Bradley against Mexico..Last edited by HKPound; 03-30-2013, 02:05 PM.Comment

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
It's how I used Donovan on FM12 with a US save. Put him on the right flank and gave him an inside forward role. Dude scored lots of goals for me.Comment

The Donovan news has me pumped. Love that guy. I think he's got one more World Cup run in the tank.

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
The Gold Cup rosters should be interesting this year. I was thinking we could see Villareal maybe getting a look, but I don't think he'd able to because of the U-20's. Agudelo is looking in top form as both a distributor and scorer. Mike Magee might get a shot as well if he continues to score like he has. Jack Mcinerney is another interesting player.Comment

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
Was this article as bad as I thought it was, or did I overreact? I understand you can't expect much from a school newspaper, but come on. There is so much wrong and misleading in that article. I have never posted comments on an article, ever, so it certainly got a rise out of me.
I just expect better from my Alma Mater.YNWAComment

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
I saw a lineup yesterday that had Goodson at CB with Cameron moving to RB. It also had Kljestan at one of the CDM spots.Comment

re: Official USMNT/USWNT Thread
I like Cameron at RB. Still don't know how to feel about Kljestan, but hey, he probably faces a decent amount of these guys in the Belgian Pro League.YNWAComment

Kompany, Fellaini, Witsel, Vermalean, etc. That doesn't include Hazard who was sent home with injury.Comment

Well aware of their talent; don't forget Benteke, Lukaku, and Mirallas. I just don't know how many of their superstar players suit up for this.YNWAComment
