Think Perisic is better served as a forward, he'd also be expensive. I'd much rather we went after Conti, Semedo, Pereira. I've also heard very good things about Weiser from Hertha, who would definitely be the cheapest of those 4.

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Am I crazy for thinking that taking a chance on Adama Traore in Moses's position might actually be worth a shot?
I mean, he'd be pretty cheap so it wouldn't hamper us spending big in other positions. His dribbling, pace and general athleticism is next level. His technique is quite good as well, he was one of La Masia's most prized possessions. He doesn't have very good decision making and work ethic, but those are two things Conte drills into pretty much everyone.
Villa and Middlesbrough are two absolutely atrocious places for a young player to develop, especially a young attacker.
Seems like it could be a very low risk option with a potentially high reward.
Moses was great this last season but his crossing and decision making were both pretty bad most of the time. His strengths are his athleticism and dribbling, which is the same as Traore except Traore is a much better dribbler.
I dunno. If we aren't going to get someone like Conti/Semedo etc, then maybe it's worth a shot?Last edited by Brahvocado; 06-20-2017, 06:26 PM.Comment

I reckon Perisic could actually do a job for you guys at RWB. Although he usually plays on the left. He's two footed so he can swing in crosses from both sides and cut in and shoot. He's a workhorse too so that'd fit what Conte expects of your wingbacks.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
I'm thinking more and more that bringing back Christensen and potentially adding another CB (Bonucci, VVD, etc...) means that Azpi gets moved to RWB where he'll take over and prove that he's the most versatile defender on Earth.Comment

Very reliable Juve journo is now reporting the Sandro deal is becoming very likely.
That would be insane if we actually manage to snag him.Comment

Can't believe they'd let Sandro go after the Alves departure.
So would Alonso take a back seat? After the season he had. If so that's crazy. Unless he can play RWB.SEATTLE SEAHAWKS

Juve have proved that they will sell anyone who doesn't want to be there & that they will buy a cheaper yet very capable replacement.

Alonso would be backup for both LWB and LCB.
I'm starting to agree with KG that the lack of links for RWB and potentially buying more CBs means Azpi is getting moved back to the right.Comment

Re: ***The Official Chelsea FC Thread***
Getting Rudiger makes me wonder what our plans are for next season.
He's not depth, that's a first team signing for sure. So is he here to take Dave's place with Dave going to RWB, or is he replacing Cahill/Luiz? This also means Christensen is almost certainly not going to be given a chance as a starter
Would we be going back to a 4ATB then? I also remember an article from some French scout that talked about how Dave was actually very well suited to play an anchor/DM position in a midfield three if he had two high-energy players with him.
Anyway, I just want the season to start.Comment

I really think we're going to play a lot more 4-3-3 next year. Bakayoko and Kante to protect Cesc and then the front 3 of Pedro/Willian, Eden (when he returns from his injury), and Costa or Lukaku.
Bakayoko
Rudiger
Sandro (yes please)
Lukaku
That's a HELL of a window!
I can't wait til preseason to see if Conte is content with Chaloboah being the 4th midfielder. I also hope we send RLC out on loan.Comment
