Sounds like Hazard is laying the foundation for a move.

“After six wonderful years at Chelsea it might be time to discover something different. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision if they want to let me go.

“For my career, certainly after this World Cup, I’m at a moment where I might change. We all know that I’ve always felt well at Chelsea, so … I’ve been linked to all the big clubs. Next week it will be Bayern. No, I’m joking. You all know my preferred destination.”

I mean, we all love him but we can’t blame him for exploring that kind of move. I’m sure, like most kids his age, he grew up idolizing Ronaldo and Real. I can’t get mad at someone who would leave us for Real or Barca, especially not one who has accomplished what he has with Chelsea.

I hope he stays and we get to see him in that Insigne role. The numbers for Napoli after Sarri got there are nuts:

          15/16 - Higuain - 36goals, Callejon 13, Insigne 13, Mertens 11, Gabbiadini 8, Hamsek 8

          16/17 - Mertens 34, Insigne 20, Callejon 17, Hamsek 15, Milik 8

          17/18 - Mertens 22, Insigne 14, Callejon 13, Hamsek 7, Zielinski 7, Milik 6

I think he would really enjoy and flourish under him. I’ve watched a decent amount of Napoli this year and have been watching a lot of YouTube vids these past few days. If you watch how they use Insigne it screams Eden. What’s scary is Eden is a better Insigne. Crappy music aside I enjoyed this one:

Also, I really hope we could get Golovin even though he looks Juve bound. He reminds a lot of Hamsek.

I think he stays at the least this season.

Also it seems the board are gonna argue they don’t owe Conte the £9m due to unprofessional conduct by AC. Because of the way the Costa situation went down.

The winger/wide forward market is really bad right now, what are we going to do with £200m?

There are zero wingers available even close to Hazard’s quality, who would we even buy? Honestly I’d rather have Hazard for another season and get back into the CL, then see who is available next summer.

Not to mention, maybe this season we can play well enough to convince Hazard to stay. He definitely loves it here, I think a combination of quality attacking football and a trophy or two could be enough.

I bet Boro would listen to offers for Stewart Downing.

In FIFA I’d be mashing the “accept” button and praying that he comes to terms.

Martial should have been on that French side but Mou

Agree Brahv. 200 mil is great and all but what could be do to in this market to replace his influence?

Hope to pry Dembele away or hope that Pulisic, Bailey, or Malcolm turn into breakout stars.

The only thing I could think of would be:

Best Juve to either Golovin or SMS creating the best midfield in the league

                        &

Pulling the trigger on either Malcom, Bailey, or Pulisic and hope they turn into the next big thing OR hoping the Valverde-Dembele bust-ups are true and get him on the cheap (anywhere south of 100mil) OR the Willian swap for either Martial/Dembele.

Gotta remember that the summer window closes early this summer too.

100% agree KG, our only options are spending a lot of money on one of several players who are still in the “clear quality but very inconsistent” stage of development, which would obviously be a horrendous replacement for Eden freaking Hazard.

They’ve all got their downsides as well. Bailey’s dad is his agent and he’s Neymar’s Dad levels of awful and he also might have an attitude problem, Dembele might have an attitude problem as well, Malcom plays in a pretty poor league and still managed to have a fairly inconsistent season, Pulisic probably has the best attitude of the 5 but with arguably the least amount of technical ability (probably even with Lozano though), and Lozano is largely a goal scorer rather than a creator which would obviously be a big departure from Hazard.

Tbh I’d almost say we should buy Lozano anyway, as he is very comfortable on the right wing and still scores regularly. He’d be a good eventual replacement for Pedro, they are somewhat similar types of players.

I mean, hell, even Martial wouldn’t be an ideal replacement for Hazard since he fills a different kind of role.

Martial on the left, Demble on the right, Higuaín as the CF and Hazard as the AM.

                            What a dream... a FM18 dream.

Either way I hope Hazard stays... getting those 2 Frenchmen is a dream after a half bottle of Kraken... lol

I love Willian and will always respect all he has done but if Barca/Man U are willing to pay the crazy money that is rumored then let’s do it.

I like Malcom a lot but I don’t know if he’s PL ready. I hate to say it but I believe at this point he’s a buy and loan player like to a mid table PL side. Loan Army!

Little time remains but I was really hoping Cesc would be off to Milan and Pedro to Sevilla or the Yellow Submarine.

At this point tho I’m willing to go with youth after Pedro... at this point he’s not good enough to be first winger coming of the bench for us.

Don’t think we should get rid of Cesc if he’s willing to take a rotation role, he’s still very very good he just can’t run.
