Finding myself watching more and more MLS this year. Absolutely love watching NYCFC's side and the quality of the sides are miles better than when I tried to watch in the 1990s/early 2000s.

TFC always manages to have the worst manager in the league. Nevermind leaving Crevaille in way too long on a yellow—why was he in there at all?Comment

 Re: MLS Discussion Thread

LA has always had only 2 modes:

 1. Complete and utter domination

 And

 2. "Ahh, looks like THAT Galaxy is playing today"

I can usually tell within the first 10 minutes which Galaxy is playing that day, the team vs Vancouver was definitely not mode #2. I watched the whole game anyways because I am a masochist.

Bonus: late evening games give you the pleasure of hearing the phenomenal commenting team of Kobi Jones and Human Advertising Loop.Comment

 Re: MLS Discussion Thread

I want to give Vanney every chance in the world because I am so sick of changing managers but the club's record since he has taken over has been atrocious even by TFC standards.

I'm not going to pass judgement on the seven-game road swing. I want to see him get four or five home games under his belt before calling for the long knives.Comment

 Re: MLS Discussion Thread

So in the TFC-Dallas there's a lightning delay in the 43rd minute. The delay is three hours long. They resume the game, play two minutes and then have a full half-time.

 Unbelievable.Comment

 Re: MLS Discussion Thread

Copa Libertadores is a two-legged final. It's probably the second most prestigious club competition, behind the UEFA Champions League. If it can have a two-legged final, why can't CONCACAF?

Why would it being two-legged make you any less excited? You get more soccer!

Olympic Stadium in Montreal is also sold out for the return leg next week.Last edited by Bruins; 04-22-2015, 07:11 PM.Comment

 Re: MLS Discussion Thread

I just prefer the one-off nature of a true final. Plus, and I'm just assuming this rule is in effect, having aggregate scores and the away goal rule in a final just seems wrong to me.

All that said, this final(s) should be fun.Last edited by dubcity; 04-22-2015, 08:02 PM.Comment

Montreal conceded late but gets an unbelievable 1-1 draw in Mexico City. They were outshot 28-4.

I can't believe they're this close to winning the CONCACAF Champions League.Comment
