Re: MLS Discussion Thread
That ref was atrocious but I can't really blame him, he just wanted to make it out of the stadium aliveComment

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
I didn't realize almost ripping a guy's shirt off from behind when he's about to have a one-on-one chance wasn't denying a goal scoring opportunity.Comment

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
Fair point! Maybe one day the CONCACAF final will be big enough to draw in a neutral site. I suspect the bigger Mexican clubs could draw a decent amount in a US city, though. MLS teams not so much.Last edited by dubcity; 04-23-2015, 04:13 PM.Comment

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
Montreal has to rely on a keeper, Kristian Nicht, who has never played for them in the second leg of the CONCACAF Championship tonight at a sold out Olympic Stadium.
Starter Evan Bush is suspended due to yellow cards and their normal backup is Cup tied.
I'm hoping they can pull it off but I don't like their chances without Bush.
If they pull it off it's one of the great sport stories of the year in my opinion. It's absurd how they've even got this far.Comment

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
The bigger concern is right back. Ciman is leading the defence anyway, so bringing in a new keeper isn't a huge concern. Nicht been in good form for Indy this season. But the fact that they're so thin at RB with Camara hurt and Cabrera (who wasn't even a RB before this season) less than 100% that Reo-Coker is being talked about as possibility to start there is very concerning. They're going to have to play flawlessly tonight, and having someone out of position protecting the wing could hurt.Impact de Montréal

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
Well, it was a pretty cool moment for Canadian soccer just to have a team compete in the final.
On a separate note, this match on artificial turf reminded me of how dumb it is that all of the Women's World Cup matches will be played on this surface. Oh well.Comment

It's too bad they lost. It looked like a great atmosphere in the stadium and it would have been a great moment for soccer in Canada (and we know we haven't many of those). Hopefully, another MLS club will finally win it soon.Comment

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
It was a great atmosphere (during the first half). Just indescribable. Even with the bitter taste of how it ended, being there until things went south and being there for the Porter goal are two memories I'll carry with me forever.Impact de Montréal

Re: MLS Discussion Thread
The fact that "Alan Gordon Time" is a common phrase just highlights what a damn hero that man is.
Corner kicks with Alan Gordon on the field past the 70 minute mark are basically penalties.Comment
