They mentioned on NBC that Mourinho said Terry wasn't hurt. Sounds like it was some kind of a power move for Mourinho to show he's in charge.

No power play, Jose wouldn't need to do that to a player like Terry. He already said in his post match; Zouma is our fastest central defender and Jose wanted to play a high line in the second half, which we've already seen is something a Terry can't do. He also said Terry still has his complete confidence.

Was just a simple tactical change.

Jose is a great tactical mind, but my goodness he is insufferable.

You lose 3-0, but it was a "fake" result?

He's looked off the pace since preseason.

We had a pretty bad preseason (actual performance of the players, not the results) and most thought we'd just be able to flick the switch and turn it on.

          I guess not.

Credit to City though. Begovic made some quality saves in the 1st half while Aguero was hurting us with his runs in the channels.

We'll be OK. City will have their usual mid-to-late season slump.

No teams are really going to run away with the league any more given how competitive it is from 1-16.

Yeah I also figured we would just turn it on.

As much as I hate to admit good things about Manchester United, this is one of the things that made SAF possibly (probably?) the greatest manager the game has seen. It is incredibly difficult in a league as competitive as the PL to consistently retain a title, the whole team will have a hard time staying motivated (see: City last season).

City will definitely be the team to beat this season because they have the best squad and they have the hunger. Sterling already looks like he will do just fine.

If they really do get De Bruyne (still a strong possibility), and snake Otamendi from United (looking almost certain) then lord help us all.

They can't snake Otamendi from us when not a single person from the club has expressed interest in him.

                  Ya've seen the light.

First 15 have been exciting. Bournemouth not parking the bus and actually trying to move the ball up the pitch.

Does anyone believe that Bournemouth actually has a chance to avoid relegation this year?

Honestly, it should be 0-0 or even 1-0 Bournemouth. Their goal being overturned....I've seen stuff like that be allowed by officials. Liverpool's goal should've been overturned.
