Nothing changes the fact that OGS should not have been given the permanent manager job of Manchester United. If he were sacked today, no other Premier League team would bring him in if they were looking to replace their manager—none.

Would all of United's issues be fixed without him? No. Would they be better off and higher up the table? Yes.

Regardless of who’s in charge, their main issues would still exist. They have a business man running the Futbal side of things, who thinks that just throwing money at big name players solves everything, fit be damned. As opposed to trying to develop the young talent on the roster so that you can spend the money on guys who actually fit a NEED and not just because it’s a name.

THATS been their biggest problem since SAF. The manager and the man making the decisions haven’t been on the same page when it comes to the on field product. And as long as that continues to happen, things won’t be getting any better for them.

So yeah, if they get rid of OGS, they’d probably be sitting higher than 12th right now. But would anyone dare argue they’d be a Top 4 team even with a new manager with this current roster? **** no.

And until they get someone other than Woodward to make on field decisions, it doesn’t matter who’s in charge, they’ll still be the same ol’ ManU that we’ve been watching for the last 6-7 years. Just an expensive *** “Meh” roster with a big *** Chevy Logo on their chest.

I mean we both have been repeating the same thing about him since he was hired so yeah.

ManU changing the manager is just them changing the shoelaces in a pair of some raggedy *** Retro Jordan 11s and telling everyone that they’re brand new(KG would get this reference), lol.

Their ownership has been a problem since before SAF left tbh.

SAF being an actual warlock masked any and all issues with the backroom, and it wasn't even really that noticeable until another top manager (Jose) took charge.

I'm not sure they will ever fully solve these issues until the Glazers sell.

Honestly, taking into account the age of the likes of RVP, Scholes, Ferdinand etc I don’t think saying that the current United roster is better than this one is too far fetched. But this is from Ferguson’s last season, in the game they won at City with a last minute goal and when they walked to the league title. They were in decline before he left and their recruitment wasn’t any better than average, they just had the Scottish Bellichick just keeping them constantly winning.

Some silly London club also sold them a title + 26 league goals for cheap.

Well, I didn’t bother mentioning them because we know they’re not selling no time soon.

But everything else can easily be corrected, at least to get them back on the right track. And we’ve seen throughout Sports History that teams can still win despite ****ty Ownership. But they can’t win with ****ty managing and a ****ty FO.

Everything can be easily corrected but that doesn't mean it will.

If the ****ty ownership is totally fine with the ****ty managing and ****ty FO, which they currently are, then nothing is going to change.

United still makes the Glazers a ton of money, as long as that keeps happening they will do the bare minimum.

Well, there’s already been talks about them hiring an actual Director to run the on field product so that Woodward can go back to the Business side, which everyone knows is way past overdue.

Now, whether or not that’ll actually happen is TBD but the fact that it’s even being considered says they’re willing to make a change because they see a problem as well.

And yes, I’m aware actions speak louder than words and I wouldn’t blame anyone for not giving them the benefit of the doubt based on their previous actions.

I always wonder how much of a hindrance it is to have SAF’s presence lurking around.

I've said it before and someone disagreed with me, but I think it's a massive hindrance. His shadow will be cast whether or not he's in the stands and playing any role, but it's far too big of a shadow with him actually there.

It doesn't mean he needs to stay away forever, but if he's sitting in the stands for the cameras to focus on, it does nothing to help.

I love Arsene Wenger, but I'm glad he's purposely distanced himself from the club and has refused to attend a match, and most likely will continue to do so through at least this current season.

Rumors are that it’s between Blanc and Wenger for the Lyon job. Lyon would be foolish to hire Blanc.
