Ole is a fighter...I will say that. You hear how his ManU side is underperforming or has no shot in hell and then all of a sudden...and as quietly as possible...they are 2nd in the table [emoji2371]

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
Am I wrong to think that the most elite level athletes should be expected to be able to complete 90 minutes within 3 days of each other?
I mean these are athletes mostly in their young/mid 20s, playing at the absolute highest level in a (mostly) non contact sport.
To think they can’t complete two games in a week seems a bit weak to me.
This is likely an unpopular opinion LOL—but whatevs.

Same as load management in the NBA. In 2018-19, 21 players played 82 games and 67 players played at least 79 games. Back in 2008-09, 30 players played 82 games and 79 played at least 79 games. In the 1997-98 season (98-99 season was a lockout shortened season), 51 players played 82 games and 105 played in at least 79.
The modernization of sports science is playing its part for sure. Same thing is happening with pitchers in baseball.

Re: 2020-2021 English Football Thread
They need to do something because many clubs have had players miss games due to COVID. It is not very fair to start postponing matches if a club has enough players to field according to the rules that everyone agreed to going in.
Either stop all the games or adhere to the agreed guidelines.Comment
