The one that hit the post...if he squares it it’s an easy tap-in for Lucas.

Both teams, hell nearly every team I’ve watched the past 2 weeks look tired af.

His little exchange at the end with Klopp was the cherry on top. No idea what was said, but surely just annoyed that his team set up not to lose couldn't do just that.

Jose Mourinho on what he told Jurgen Klopp. "I told him the best team lost. He disagreed. That is his opinion. If I behave the same way on the touchline like he does, I have no chance to stay there. I'm out... For some reason I am different, and that is sad."

Eh... that was the best gameplan Spurs could have had. They just didn’t take their chances. Still had a higher xG too [emoji2375]

Eh, Palace has a higher margin over West Ham as did Fulham over Brighton and those were draws. I’m all about the xG, but sometimes the dam will break and going at Liverpool could actually work. Always? No, but Spurs are not Atletico Madrid.

And if we’re talking expected, Spurs have been over performing a bit recently.

I don't think many teams in the league, let alone Europe can go to Anfield and "out-football" them. City and Leeds are the only two sides that are well drilled enough in their system to play good football there. Everyone else is going to play on the back-foot.

That's his big match gameplan. It didn't change for City, Arsenal or Chelsea. He's got the perfect side for the away smash & grab. I'll be curious to see what they do vs Leicester this weekend.

Fair, but I’ll say this—if you’re going to have more of a go at them, a center back pairing of Fabinho and Williams plus the talent of Spurs isn’t a bad time to do so. Everyone knows TAA and Robertson are going to commit forward, and with no VVD to clean up, you have a shot.

Moderately suicidal? Yeah, and those are not spots Mourinho will change so I do realize I sound like a fool.

But outlasting the attack of Liverpool is not the same as outlasting the attack of the other sides you mentioned.

But was Mourinho ever going to do anything different? No, so I’ll move on.

The way to beat Mourinho teams that are set up like his Spurs team is to actually give the ball away.

This Spurs team doesn’t want to dominate possession, so you force the ball on them and engineer counterattacks.

Of course you could just outright beat them like Liverpool, and honestly his comments are pretty funny because Liverpool had uncharacteristically poor finishing in the first half, the game could easily have been over inside 20 minutes if they weren’t all just kicking it right at Lloris.

Definitely a very entertaining game overall though.

Son's goal is how they should look at offside. No looking for a toe or a thread hanging off a sleeve patch. Looks relatively on, let's go. But that's not what they've been doing. Where were the crosshairs, lol. I found it hilarious that they took longer looking at Eric Dier throwing himself to the ground after being slightly brushed by Henderson on the Firmino goal.

Wait, Everton had back-to-back clean sheets against clubs in the top five? This has got be fake news. That's got to be one of the more remarkable things that has happened this season.

Same and with his nationality, he generates a lot of revenue from South Korea too. If he were on a bigger clue (i.e. one that accomplishes things) he could easily be a household name. I think he is that good. He just performs constantly on a team where everyone knows its up to him and Kane to do everything.

However, it also means you make far too many mistakes. If you're beat there, you still have some cover behind you—Theo doesn't have the legs he once did.
Caught up on stuff I missed from the past couple days last night and finally saw this. Yeah, you just can't do that when you're on a yellow and there are teammates behind you. It's forgivable when you're going to prevent a 1-on-1.

Arsenal's in a weird red card binge right now - could have easily had another one in that match. That was pretty egregious and intentional contact to the head by Elneny.

He's got it pretty good at Spurs so far tbh. First of all, he has played in a Champions League final - something that many good players will never do. The system is currently suited perfectly to him. They're currently in a title race. Since he has shown no indication that I know of that he would want to move on, he's going to be super expensive. I'm sure Spurs have fielded offers.

That being said, the list of players from the EPL that I would take in a heartbeat at Liverpool starts: 1. KDB 2. Son

His age and injury history probably scared off some suitors but yeah, he’s been a hell of a player since he got there.
