My bad, I thought you were just talking about the signings this Summer.

This is the same system that Perez installed with the first coming of the Galatico's. He is going to focus on signing the big name attacking guys. Thats just the way its going to be. Hopefully he has learned from his first attempt at running the club that he needs to focus a little more on the defensive end of things this time around.

As that lead to the undoing of the Galatico's the firist time around. That and not developing any younger players which looks like its about to change with the Benzema signing today.

As with regards to having too many attacking players I just don't see it. Pellegrini runs a version of the 4-4-2 where he has two strikers, two attacking midfielders, and two defensive mids.

Kaka will play one of the attacking midfield roles with the other being filled with more than likely another galatico type signing (hopefully Ribery). While Pellegrini has said that he sees Ronaldo as more of a secondary striker in his system. He could also fill in at attacking mid.

At striker if Real don't make anymore big name signings. You will see Benzema with probably Higuain at the other forward spot. The Dutchies are on their way out according to most of the Spanish papers, so that mean no RVN or Huntelaar. So that answers that question.

Perez isn't finsished yet either. He is looking at Xabi Alonso and Arbeloa from Liverpool so that will add something to the defense if those players come. I'm pretty sure he will also be looking to add a CB as well.

Perez knows what he is doing as Real won a lot of silverware when he was in charge the first time.

This isn't really a transfer, but...

Michel Platini is apparently embarrassed by the amount of money being spent this summer on transfers.

And to think just a mere few days ago it looked like Hull and Stoke were his only options.

SAF is such a genius in the transfer market. It's going to a be a pay as you play deal. Any money he gets him back in the England fold.

Not a great signing by any means but it's not exactly risky either. If Owen is healthy, he can no doubt produce on the pitch. Not a bad option to have as a sub. This could also be his ticket back to the England squad.

Not a transfer, but it has something to do with the subject.....

According to goal.com (take with grain of salt), supposedly the Milan Ultras are protesting outside of Milanello and causing chaos! LMAO!!!

Milan's first day back from the summer holidays has got off to the worst possible start as hundreds of angry Ultras caused trouble outside the club's training ground during today's lunch-hour.

Bottles, various objects and flares were hurled towards the club buildings as journalists from Sky Sport Italiaran for cover. Fans continued to launch heavy insults towards the club's directors, unhappy that the pre-season, which begins later today, kicks-off with no new striker or signings following the departure of Kaka to Real Madrid.

The Ultras aimed their anger towards the club's owner, Silvio Berlusconi, and vice-president Adriano Galliani. They are clearly angered by Berlusconi's comments in today's edition of La Gazzetta Dello Sport where the chief claims the club are stronger than Inter.

"Anyone who tries to stop us will end up in hospital," chanted the fans outside the club, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Police soon arrived at the scene and restored some order, but the Ultras are in no mood for conciliation. The protests have been toned down somewhat following the police presence, but the fans are demanding answers.

Leonardo and Galliani are expected to give a press conference later today.

Which means they will get neither of the two...

Berlusconi got the reaction he deserves for saying that crap about Milan being better than Inter. Does he really think Milan fans are that dumb?
