I seriously hate the Madrid model of "buy the biggest stars and let's see how well they play together." I still don't think they would win on the European stage as long as their defense is ****.

        Re: The Transfer Thread

Florentino Perez has said that he will do whatever it takes to get Ronaldo to Madrid next season.

Also, Tottenham are looking to bring Ruud Van Nistlerooy back to England.

Just like he'll try to get Ibrahimovic, Ribery, the greatest 11-year-old football sensation, etc.

          Ruud to Tottenham? Interesting destination.

I could see Ronaldo moving to Madrid next summer and United attempting to use that money to bring Benzema to Old Trafford. Now I don't think it will happen, but it wouldn't surprise me if it did.

Ronaldo is eventually going to go. Whether it this Summer or within the next 2 or 3. If I were United I would go ahead and sale while he is at his apex value wise.

I think the thing holding up the deal is that Fergie doesn't know if he will be able to find a good replacement for Ronaldo. Especially now that Ribery has came out and said that he will not go to England.

But there is one thing for certain and that is you can't count out Florentino Perez when it comes to getting something he wants.

Wolves have turned the transfer mill on it's head with their interest in Nicky Butt!!

Wolves are interested in Newcastle midfielder Nicky Butt and are hopeful of concluding their chase for Serbia international Nenad Milijas in the next 24 hours.

oh man, things are starting to get ugly for Inter. There's the proposed move of Ibra for Eto'o, which I don't like one bit, and now Maicon says he's unhappy. Ugh.

I don't think the Ibra for Eto'o swap is such a bad move. There is just no sense in keeping a guy on your team that doesn't want to be there. And Eto'o although getting older is still a top class striker.

I rate Ibra higher than Eto'o no doubt, but I just don't see Inter being able to land anybody thats better than Sam.

But if the Van Persie rumors are true I hope you sale Ibra to the highest bidder.

I'd take Eto'o over Zlatan any day of the week.

Zlatan doesn't show up in big games. He'll score 3 goals against some ****ty team and do his usual arrogant "I'm too cool to celebrate" pose and then he'll do nothing against good teams.

I wonder what the deal is. I've been to Milan and it's great! Seriously though, it seems as if there will be mass exodus at AC Milan as well.

Sux because they had a pretty good year and they'll be back in the Champions League next year.

yeah, looks like it's shaping up to be a bad summer for the Serie A.

I would love to have Van Persie at Inter but I refuse to get my hopes up about that rumor. I'll believe it when I see it.

I'd love to hear what Ferguson has to say about this after his whole "I wouldn't sell them a virus" comment. Still, who the heck can United get to replace Ronaldo? Ribery's not leaving, a striker in Benzema isn't exactly needed at the moment, same with Huntelaar.

This is slightly disappointing. IMO, the only time to let him go is if United can find a replacement for his position. He'd still be worth that much next season.
