Re: Overcoming Adversity-The Career of Clarke Ainsley

Gameday

Well, I didn't get called up. Instead Eric Fehr and Jeff Schultz will be playing for the Capitals tommorrow. They are great players and friends of mine, but I can't help being dissapointed. I am our leading scorer and I thought I was playing pretty good.

Hopefully next time I guess. I will just have to work harder and play better to make the next set of call-ups. If I play good the next couple of games maybe I can get up to the top two lines and work my way up.

Tonight we play the Providence Bruins. They're a tough team, but maybe we can come away with a win.

Game 3 vs. Providence Bruins

We played a very low scoring game, as there was no scoring after regulation. Their goalie, Tukka Rask played very good all game and he was tough to beat. I was able to score the game-winning goal in overtime too!!!!!

Their defender had the puck, but I stole it and broke into their zone. Their other defender was coming over but I drove hard to the net and tucked it into the other side to win the game for us. We're now 2-1.

Game Stats:

Goals: 1
Assists: 0
Points: 1
+/-: 1
Shots: 6
Hits: 7
Minutes Played: 26:30

That wasn't even the best part of the night, however. After the game, Tomas Fleischmann and I went to eat out at this fancy resturant, and I saw this hot girl there. She has long blond hair, soft skin and big beautiful eyes.

She saw me checking her out and said, "Hey, I know you."

M-Me?" I said.

"Yeah, you. You're that hockey player. I saw you at the game tonight. Nice goal."

Oh th-thank you."

"I seen you before. You're an awesome hockey player (she said in her sexy voice?"

"R-really?"

"Definately. We should hang out sometime. Here's my number."

She took out a piece of paper and wrote down her number, then gave it a big, wet kiss and handed it over to me.

"Jessica," I read. "O-oh, my name's Clarke."

"Yeah, I know," she said.

There was a honk outside.

"Well, I guess I gotta go," she said. "You boys have fun," speaking to Tomas and I.

I waved good-bye and told Tomas I had to go. It would be a long night.

Good job! Should be nice to play with the best player in the world. Can't wait to see more.
