Thanks guys. Staal has already made a difference, picking up 2 assists (1 shorthanded ) in his first game in a 2-1 victory over the sabers. I find he is always useful on the ice, when he has the puck he has the size to get to the net, and when he doesn't the opposition still has to pay close attention to him, opening up more room for grabo and kulemin to make things happen.
Been real busy the last couple of days guys, and I will be the next two days as well. Hoping to get another update in by Monday night, that's my plan as of now anyway.
I'm happy with the month, we won a lot of games. The only rough game was against the Kings, I had no answer for their offence. Also my overtime record sucks, a couple extra points would have me first in the standings.

The top line continues to tear it up, they have been great. It seems every game someone on the top line scores. Phaneuf and Franson have also been excellent on D with the top line. I'm very excited to have Staal on this team, and while he has not put up anything special when it comes to offensive numbers since coming over (4 points in 8 games) he has been a great physical presence and penalty killer. I feel that with an elite winger he will be able to put up huge numbers. I'm not able to bring in a player like of that callable at this time.
Now for my main complaint about the stats above. John-Michael Liles
He has only 6 points in 38 games, that is unacceptable in my opinion. He has been a solid D-Man but I need him to put up some offensive numbers. Liles is being placed on the trading block.

Oveckin is tearing up the league. I'm trying to get Kessel to catch him in goals, but the guy keeps scoring. Gotta love having Reimer leading in GAA, and Franson leading the league in +/- just proves how great he has been, even without scoring a goal yet this season.
Rumor: With the frustration surrounding Liles, it is possible we will see a change on the blueline for the Leafs in the near future. Possible targets are the last place Dallas Star's Alex Goligoski, Tampa Bay's Marc-Andre Bergeron,Detroit's Ian White and free agent Bryan Mccabe.
