Re: Madden 16 Coach Mode Realistic All-Pro Sliders

Took over the Browns to rebuild:

Week 1 - Lost the first game vs Jets by 3 points. Benched Manziel in the 1st half, he went 5 - 14 with 3 INT's and had Conner Shaw take over. I knew I was in for a long season! Shaw ended up going 21-30 3 TD's 0 INT and almost winning the game for me. 498 Off yards!

Week 2 - 24-0 win over TEN.

Week 3 - 20-10 win over OAK.

Week 4 - 38-14 win over SD.

Week 5 - 26-16 win over BAL.

Week 6 - 28-13 win over DEN.

Shaw: 109-169 64% 1420 yrds (5th NFL) 11 TD's 4 INT 102.6 PR (4th NFL)
Crowell: 147 att (1st NFL)-633 yrds (2nd NFL) 4.3 avg. (13th NFL)

Team offense: 2593 (1st NFL) Pass 1726 (2nd NFL) Rush 867 (7th NFL) PPG 26.8 (8th NFL) 1st Downs 127 (1st NFL)

Team Defense: 1663 (4th NFL) Pass 1177 (9th NFL) 486 (2nd NFL) Points 81 (T-1st NFL) Sack 16 (16th NFL)

Now I don't mind winning, but I want to rebuild! I don't think Shaw and Crowell (with their current madden stats) should be superstars. Browns have a very good offensive line and great defense but should not be beating some of those teams handily. Let me know what you think and if you have any questions let me know. I'll keep plugging away.

The last game was played with 4.0 but the rest were 3.0.

Re: Madden 16 Coach Mode Realistic All-Pro Sliders

So after taking a couple days break I decided to start my user controlled 32 team test franchise and give set 4.0 a shot and give you some feedback. I spent the first half baffled but by the end of the game it ended up being a thriller and the stats were pretty close to realistic. Roethlisberger had near 90% completion through the first half and finished 69% with Brady going a paltry 53% in the first half and finishing out at 70%. While those are both on the high side I don't think that's so bad for the match up.

The cpu running game still feels a little unbalanced though, but in a very tricky way. Bell would have had a monster ypc average if it weren't for 7 tfls the pats had that were non sack related. Bell broke a 32 yarder and Williams broke a 31 yarder for their longest runs. It's too hard to make those kind of calls from one game though, the hope of course is that every game plays a little differently, and as long as not every game's rushing totals looks this way.

The user Patriots running game was completely dominated early, and the way the Steelers offense was scoring in the first half I had to abandon the run game in the second half and started running the hurry up early in the 4th when I realized a crazy comeback was possible.

Turnovers felt good, Brady fumbled on a goal line sack, Big Ben threw a late game int that put me right back in the game in the 4th. I want to keep an eye on cpu sacks too, Brady getting sacked 6 times by the suspect Steelers D seems high, but we will see what a few more games bring.

All in all statistically it seems like this game could have happened, with reasonable deviations from the average, I accidentally filled out the player stats backwards, but here's the boxscore

At a glance, I would say that it looks pretty good. I understand your concern about your ability to win, but based on what you're providing it doesn't look unreasonable. I wouldn't put to much credence in your team rankings for a couple of reasons. By week 6, some teams have had a bye, others have not. More importantly you're not playing the games you're not playing. Meaning that the sim enginebis handling the rest of the league. To compare yourself to how other teams are simming is apples and oranges. The fact that you're not #1 or #32 in all those stats means that it's pretty close to being dead on.

Re: Madden 16 Coach Mode Realistic All-Pro Sliders

So after that great bout with the Pats and Steelers I decided to jump right into this next game, Green Bay Packers at the Chicago Bears. As the load screens started and I realized what a ratings difference existed between the two teams and Cutler's 78 overall rating I was expecting Green Bay to trounce me but it ended up being the Bears' game early with only a few moments in the 4th quarter where Green Bay was within a touchdown.

The glaring potential problems that stand out are the 6 total ints, and the fact that Green Bay was held to 13 yards total rushing. The way this game played out was interesting because there were some breaks Chicago had early that set up the rest of the game. Green Bay went 3 and out on their opening drive thanks to an 8 yard loss on a 2nd and 10 sack setting up 3rd and a mile. The second drive Jordy Nelson took a shot while going for a catch in double coverage and my Safety intercepted the tipped ball. On their third drive Cobb took a nice hit while going for a catch and it happened to tip the ball way up in the air for another int to my Safety. If Cutler didnt throw his first int a few plays later it could have been a blowout. Rodgers last int came on the last play of the game, a hail mary, and funny enough a tipped ball.

I'm actually pretty excited to see that many turnovers in a game because it shows that you can actually get games with only a turnover or two and other games with 6. The 13 yards total rushing from Green Bay is a huge concern, but considering the way the CPU team dominated rushing the ball in my previous game I don't think it would necessarily make any sense to boost cpu run blocking over it. Other than the 13 yards rushing from Green Bay I felt like this game totally could have happened even though the odds heavily favored GB going in. I think the sliders are great, looking forward to the next game.

Re: Madden 16 Coach Mode Realistic All-Pro Sliders

Old school smash mouth football. The final score doesn't do justive to how hard it was to move the ball on either side. Manning was sacked 8 times (too early to tell if that's a flaw or a feature), and neither team could run the ball very well (ditto). Reminded me a little of the Derrick Thomas Chiefs from the 90s.
