Major hat's off to Tiburon this season. Madden 17 is a culmination of M25, M15, and the great M16. The amount of little upgrades to CFM mode is really felt once you dig into the mode.

1. News Stories are far better and streamlined to read. Now I can really see all the goings on around the league!!

2. The Ticker is a thing of beauty. Talk about immersion. I keep saying it but man it's sexy and was long long overdue!!

3. Gameplanning - I am loving the mechanic big time. Cool thing is once you complete the drill you can use it again but not have to play it if your happy with the medal level you established. I am instituting a house rule for myself with this. If I get a silver medal (or higher obviously) I will not replay that drill for the current season. Once we get to the next season we can replay a drill if we want to go for the gold. I highly recommend you use game planning. First off it gives you practice and teaches you important concepts and strategies that can make you a better player. Second the in game boosts are very cool and will help you make a potential difference in critical moments.

4. Player Development - So much better now with clear menus and players cards to see progress, regression etc. As always I do not use XP in-season at all. Only after the season is over but before Free Agency so players get true market value in their contract demands.

5. Formation Subs - Need I say anymore? Thank you.

6. Scouting Tweak - Now you must spend 15 points first to get that first letter grade (as opposed to 5 points which made it easy to spam unlock almost every player over the course of the season). Now you must be more selective and strategies what players you want to hone in on to scout and unlock fully! I love it.

7. Presentation - Off the freaking hook, from the commentary and color to the replays (PYLON CAM I LOVE YOU BABY!!!), camera angles and cut scenes....the very best presentation the franchise has ever seen.

As I play my CFM here over the next 2 weeks I will update the OP with my house rules in regards to contracts, development, game planning for those that are interested in keeping things within a realistic scope. I don't go overboard, but I do like to have a financially realistic CFM. As may of you know I am not playing with 32 team control. I am going solo team offline, playing as a head coach (Jack Del Rio unless I get fired in the future then have to create a new coach for the Raiders at some point) with coach firings on.
Since you are going with solo CFM, are you seeing a lot of crazy unrealistic trades happening during the season? Does the CPU manage the offseason fairly well (resigns key players, drafts reasonably, etc). This is my only concern with a solo CFM.

I was thinking of just turning trades off during the season and then back on for the draft, since trades during the season arent all that common in real life.

INT were not a problem for me either, got to make smart reads, no more than 1 per side. Run game seems a little OP for me on both sides so far.

I absolutely love the play of game Armor. Awesome job. Run game I will feel out, and see, over more games. I have Falcons D, so might just be that, haha. And on offense my o-line is solid, so with freeman possible to run good.

Madden 17 is a whole new animal in my eyes this game is more like football you have to be thinking about what's the safest play for me if nobody's open don't risk it just toss it away and live another day and always cover the ball obviously with the QB it's harder but don't try to throw the ball if your about to get hit just tuck it and hope for the best the CPU in this game is much smarter so throwing and running and all the mechanics of the game just get alot more realistic

Played pretty crazy game against 49ers

Defense was name of game in first quarter as I could only get 2 fgs..

Second quarter I finally get going and finally get in endzone on 38 yard td run by crowell I later get another fg.....20-0 .... Niners get on board late with Kap td pass.... 20-7 halftime.


Second half

It gets off to quick start for 9ers as Kap scrambles and finds his wr deep behind my defense for 87 yard td...20-14 finally a game.... I get ball but 9ers defense locks down on long drive have settle for fg 23-14.

Niners ball but we force a punt... My ball and niners force punting ... I'm back ready to punt ... And it's BLOCKED!!!!! returned for td!!!! 23-21....niners within 2 and that's 3rd.

4th quarter

I get drive going and again crowell bust off a 44 yard td I go up 30-21...niners driving and I again force Kap out of pocket he scrambles to his left and throws....it's int as Gilbert steps in front for int browns ball at niners 38.

I get a drive going and RG3 finds pryor down sideline for late td I win 38-21.

Love how this game plays although getting a lil worried about the blocks that's 3 outta my last 4 games the cmp has blocked a fg, extra point, fg.

Best running game so far as crowell found holes and then busted off both 38,44 yard runs he finished with 18 carries 156 yards 2 tds, johnson had 8 carries 31 yards.

Hyde had good running game as well 22 carries 83 yards.

Kap had pretty good game he finished with 2 TDs 2 ints 199 yards.
RG3 had great game 2 TDs no ints 289 yards he played smart game if not there either threw away, took sack or scrambled. Had 15 yard rush late in game keep drive alive.

earlier in the thread, i queried the 80-60 auto subs for OL and was reassured that this was right. i'm seeing a lot of OL substitutions in every game. every one of my OL seems to miss plays. i needed up with my third string C playing RT in the red zone for three plays. both RT on my depth chart were healthy.
