If it was unlimited access for 5 days, why in the world would they even mention "at least 2 hours"??

Unless its at least 2 hours per day.

My guess is it will be similar to the timed trials that are included with the PSN Plus where you get 60 minutes to play the full game once you start.

Two different features of EA Access...

The Vault - unlimited access to older games
Play First - trial/early access to newer games not included in the service

per Major Nelson
Quote:
Play First: EA Access members will get to experience trials of new EA games early on Xbox One. Starting 5 days before release, you’ll be able to try the game for at least two hours and then save your progress. Once you purchase the digital or physical copy, you can use your save game and continue the experience.
I'm sure there will be some clarification on the 2 hour "rule", but realize it only applies to Play First titles.

Because it may not be unlimited for all games like Dragon Age. Also the only thing that mentions 2 hrs is Major Nelson's post. The EA website doesnt mention it. The press release doesnt. They just mention limited time.

I'll just pay 4.99 for August. If its a limited amount of time for Madden, I'll cancel it. If its unlimited like their old system was I will pay the 30 bucks.

BF4 is one of the games involved.

It's limited play for all the "PLAY FIRST" games, that are available 5 days prior to release date. Their TOS calls it a "limited trial", which tells me it will not be full access to the game for 5 days, which is what a majority of the people were expecting.

Below is the Terms of Service off of ea.com/eaaccess

EA Access Terms

Last Updated: July 25, 2014

EA Access is a subscription program provided to you by Electronic Arts (“EA”). These Terms describe your rights to use EA Access and any of the EA Content (as defined below) offered as part of the subscription (“EA Access Services”). EA may revise these Terms at any time in its sole discretion. When EA revises these Terms, we change the “Last Updated” date above and post the revised Terms at http://www.ea.com/eaaccess/terms. Revisions to terms affecting existing EA Access Services shall be effective thirty (30) days after posting at http://www.ea.com/eaaccess; terms for new EA Access Services are effective immediately upon posting. If you have any questions regarding the EA Access Services, please contact EA customer support at http://help.ea.com.

Please note, the purchase of an EA Access subscription is made with Microsoft and not EA. In order to subscribe to EA Access, you must complete Microsoft’s purchase process. You will be bound by Microsoft’s terms and conditions, including Microsoft’s Terms of Use (http://www.xbox.com/legal/livetou). Please contact Microsoft with any questions regarding your purchase.

An active EA Origin Account (“Origin Account”) is required to subscribe to EA Access. To open an Origin Account you must be at least 13 years of age and accept EA’s Online Terms of Service (http://www.ea.com/terms-of-service) and Privacy and Cookie Policy (http://www.ea.com/privacy-policy), see www.ea.com. In addition, the download of certain EA Content, as defined below, may require acceptance of the EA End User License Agreement (http://www.ea.com/1/product-eulas).

If you purchase a recurring EA Access subscription, that purchase will auto-renew at the then-current renewal subscription price (plus applicable tax or inclusive of applicable taxes based on billing address) on each renewal date, without any additional action by you, until you cancel. You may cancel your subscription at any time. See Microsoft Terms of Use (www.xbox.com/legal/livetou) for cancellation instructions.

As part of the EA Access Services, members with an active subscription are offered (1) the ability to play a limited trial of certain EA Content 5 days prior to the date that EA Content is otherwise available on the Xbox Marketplace (“Play First”), (2) discounts on EA Content offered through the Xbox Marketplace (“Discounts”); and (3) access to a limited library of certain EA Content (“Vault Title(s)”) for unlimited online play (“Vault Access”) for the duration of their availability in the Vault. Limitations and exclusions may apply. For upcoming EA Content eligible for Play First and Discounts, and for current EA Content available in the Vault, and current details on other membership benefits, see http://www.ea.com/eaaccess. Certain EA Content may be excluded from Play First, the Vault, and/or Discounts; see http://www.ea.com/eaaccess for details on such exclusions as they become available.

EA reserves the right to change and update the EA Access Services, and the EA Content offered through the EA Access Services without any liability to you. In particular, Vault Titles are subject to change and may be removed, and the online services for certain Vault Titles may be discontinued. In the event that EA changes the EA Access Services, including the removal of Vault Titles or discontinuation of online services for certain Vault Titles, we will provide thirty (30) days advance notice to you by posting a notice on http://www.ea.com/eaaccess.

You may cancel your subscription at any time for any reason. In addition, Microsoft may terminate your subscription if you fail to comply with the Microsoft Terms of Use (http://www.xbox.com/livetou). Likewise, EA may terminate your Origin Account, thereby blocking you from the EA Access Services, for any violation of the EA Terms of Services (http://www.ea.com/terms-of-service). Please note, unless required by law, all EA Content (such as in-game entitlements, add-on content, and downloadable content) purchased in connection with the EA Access Services (including, without limitation, purchases made during Vault Titles) are non-refundable and non-transferable. If your subscription to EA Access is cancelled or otherwise terminated, you will not have further access EA Content until and unless you purchase the EA Content or Vault Title separately. In addition, Vault Titles contain functionality designed to disable access to those Vault Titles in the event that (i) your subscription is canceled or otherwise terminated or (ii) EA decides, in its sole discretion to remove certain Vault Titles as described above.

You are assuming things based on the term "limited trial" The limited trial could be hours or days depending on the game. Nothing there confirms either.
