Season Mode ?

it's a CPU defence. if you sit controller 2 down it goes into CPU mode, it also auto picks a play for you if you don't within about 10 seconds. madden doesn't have delay of game for defence penalites, even the player that is highlted and selected won't be controlled by a human unless you pyrcially touch the controller it will still be in cpu mode. if the CPU intercepts it will run itself unless a human touches and takes control..

so yes this does work if you can wait a extra 10 seconds after each play for the CPU to pick a play

well you will find that the random play the CPU picks would be a 'ask madden play' so you could have it set to ask madden, then press the button yourself if you don't wanna wait 10 seconds.

we got no choice really it's just another thing EA took out in the recyle phrase

I dont have much time to play video games so I play Playoff mode in NBA 2k, 7 game series is plenty for me. But I would think Playoff mode in Madden would be too short because football does not have series in the playoffs, so a season mode would be nice to have.

Actually, I think there are quite a few of us around here that would like a playoff mode as well....especially in January when the real NFL playoffs are set. And yet another mode that would probably take an EA developer about 15 minutes to create.

I thought their was a playoff mode in Madden? I haven't played it in so long I can't remember, but I thought I seen that mode one year.

I had the same question, I think the answer is no. there is no just single season mode like there is in a game like MLB the show 14.

I sucks I have to look at all the extra crap in the menus and can't just play a single season.
