Why Is Madden Still Not Available On PC At This Point?

Mods, I know this discussion has been in a thread before but not in the "new console" forum.

I just read a post from BringThePain86 in another thread mentioning the continued lack of Madden on PC, which really got me to thinking about it. With all the talk about how the development for PS4/Xbox1 was going to be closer to working with high end PCs, why is Madden still not available on PC?

Is there some potentially technical reason some of you people in the computer science field might could speculate on, is it that EA doesn't want the modding community to get their hands on Madden PC to show them up or something else entirely?

They have a hard enough time developing on consoles, do you really want them to set aside staff to port an already broken game to pc, in quite possibly an even more broken fashion lol?

There is a part of me deep down that says the dev team doesn't want decent coders having a closer look at their work.

Personally yes, because I would love to see what the modding community could do with the game. I have no facts to back it up but my theory is that it's not on PC because EA doesn't want that, meaning the modding community getting their hands on it.

Yeah I think it's that and the fact that EA is all about $$$$$. They probably don't see the profit being large enough to justify the dev time, even if though it probably wouldn't cost much. You know them cats love to cut corners any way they can.

The bold is what confuses me and hope people that understand software development might can speculate about and expound on. If developing for the current consoles is so much like high end PCs like so many developers claimed, then it seems that porting Madden over to PC now would be as cost effective as ever. Also, in the other threads on this topic of Madden on PC, I don't recall anyone posting a huge sales drop for Madden 2008 from Madden 2007, the last two years it was available on PC.

Probably still won't be enough profit from sales to justify it. Not to mention piracy issues which you know companies hate. They want to keep Madden on consoles where the majority of the sports gamers are. Every single one of EA's franchises were on PC at one point, except I think their boxing games. Now I think only Fifa remains.
