Damn this is more disheartening than it should be for a game but EA and the NFL are about making money so it’s a match made unfortunately. Feels like this is going to be an endless cycle at this point. A lot of people are frustrated with the only football game out in the market but love football so much they’re rather buy the game than go without football. Those numbers are reflected in sales and makes EA looks successful, micro transactions are made, shareholders get paid, NFL gets paid..and on and on.

Don’t know what it’s going to take to realistically end the cycle.

The only way to end the cycle is for us not to buy the game. But that won't happen because people are too die hard for this. i miss the days of all the competitive games.

NFL: We good with one NFL Simulation game.

On a more serious note, we need some legal expertise on this subject. Contract says EA is the only company who can make a NFL simulation game. Define "Simulation" in the context that prohibts 2K or another company from making a simulation game. The term is so loose and vague that it's impossible to figure out the language.

If swapping in your Punter at QB and running all game is NFL simulation, yikes.
