Re: Jay's Sliders - Final Release

Jay, Liked and used your sliders from back when you realeased the early versions of them when this game was released. Then it seemed like you disappeared from the boards. Been a few weeks since ive checked up but i cant wait to use the "final" version, ill let you know how they turned out, but honestly do you feel 17 or 20 is better for RB ability?

Just RB Ability. I don't think I'll ever feel a need to change the blocking at all.

I didn't disappear, I was just reading other threads and testing different things. I gave SirTru's and Millenium's sliders a once-over, and did the same with headrulz's. Then I combined everything that i saw that I liked and tried to apply it to All-Madden.

I give a lot of credit to Millenium, he basically cracked the Break Block and Tackle sliders, which have a lot to do with why the running game now functions. Pretty much now, if there's anything that would need to be tweaked for the individual person it's how good of a defensive player you are. RB Ability is the one slider that will allow you to determine how good the running backs are. I am currently using 17, so I'm imagining that will be a good range of 17-20 for different levels of gamer. Some people are just monsters at stopping the run, could use 20.

What's important is the base, everyone will be able to easily tell after 5-10 games if they are getting too good in certain areas, and adjust. And the games are all FUN.

I dunno, I'm at halftime, I just jumped in to check to see if there was any replies. When I come back I'll have stats from my game. Jones has 100 at the half for me, he broke 2 20+ yarders (24 long I think) against Houston's D.

More to come...

Re: Jay's Sliders - Final Release

Detroit 37 - Houston 29

Awesome, highly offensive game where I again show my propensity to give up the big play.

Harrington 23-36 264yds 2TD 2INT 1 Sack Long 72
Carr 16-31 343 4TD 3INT Longs of 87,64,47

Now with Carr, two of those TD's were completely my fault. Once I dove on accident, the other I slowed the DB down when taking control of him on a fly route. Without those 2 plays he only has 209. Figure if they are just normal gains and tackles probably 245-260. Harrington's long pass I got Dante Hall covered by a linebacker that didn't come front him at the line. Play was going left on a corner, FS went to center field, Dante gone.

K. Jones 32-173 3TD 5.4 AVG. - 1 FMB 54 yards after 1st hit. Long 29. 2 20+ Runs
Pinner 6-38 0TD 6.3 AVG. - 15 After 1st Contact - 12 Long
Schlesinger 1-1

D. Davis 17-105 0TD 6.1 AVG Long 45 - 30 After 1st Contact - 1 20+ run
Norris 1-2

-------------

My D had 5 tackles for loss and 4 passes defensed (other than the INTs)
Their LE Walker led them in tackles with 9, Sharper second with 8.

I won time of possession 30:15 to 17:45, went 9-14 on 3rd down, and had a first downs advantage of 24-11.

Another great game.

Re: Jay's Sliders - Final Release

Jay or anyone, what about special teams? Did you leave both Comp and human on default for all? If so, 10 is default for all, right? Thanks, I want to try these, but need this info.

Never mind, I'm an idiot. I see them. I'll give them a shot now. Sorry for the confusion.

Re: Jay's Sliders - Final Release

These sliders are terrible!!! Just kidding, but that was my initial thought after I played one game and was given a beating by the Colts. However, I also give sliders at least a couple games and I am glad I did. My second game was probably the most intense game of Madden I have ever played. It came down to me missing a FG as time expired. I felt like I really had to outhink my opponent if I wanted to win. As a side note, I think kickoffs at 12 for the CPU and 11 for human seem to high as both the computer and I were able to hit the endzone with relative ease. Personally, I think that 10 for human and 11 for CPU would be better. Anyway, here are the stats.

Colts-51(cpu) Jags-17(me)

Manning 23/32 414 yds 5TD 0 INT
Leftwich 17/31 167 yds 1TD 2 INT

James 17 att 42 yds(2.4) 1TD
Taylor 24 att 90 yds(3.7) 1TD

Harrison 8 rec 164 yds 3TD(couldn't stop him)
Wayne 6 rec 118 yds 1TD(him neither)
J.Smith 10 rec 109 yds 1TD
T.Edwards 2 rec 17 yds 0TD

Colts D-----4TFL, 5 sacks, 2 INT, 8PD, 1 FF, 1 FR
Jags D-----4TFL, 0 sacks, 0 INT, 4PD, 0 FF, 0 FR

Cowboys(cpu)-23 Saints(me)-20

Testeverde 23/39 294 yds 2TD 2 INT
Brooks 11/19 120 yds 1TD 0 INT
Bouman 5/5 47yds 0TD 0 INT

George 14 att 80 yds(5.7) 0 TD
Deuce 22 att 54 yds(2.4) 1 TD

Glenn 6 rec 97 yds 0 TD
Witten 6 rec 52 yds 1 TD
Horn 5 rec 54 yds 0 TD
Gardner 3 rec 50 yds 0 TD

Cowboys D-----6TFL, 6 sacks, 0 INT, 5PD, 0 FF, 0 FR
Saints D-------5TFL, 2 sacks, 2 INT, 5PD, 1 FF, 1 FR

As you can see, two completely different games here. First game I believe was a combination of a good day by the Colts and me adjusting to All-Madden again after playing recently on All-Pro. The second game I adjusted and the stats reflect that. The Cowboys D played tough(like they should) and I was only able to muster up 181 yards of total offense.

Also, I didn't happen to have the same long run struggles as most of you and think the RB ability at 20 will work good for me. Then again, they probably don't run as much on me because my passing D definitely needs work.

Anyway, great sliders Jay. I now have a set of sliders I feel that I can finally start my Detroit Franchise with. If anything pops up during the season that seems funny, I'll let you know. GO LIONS!!!
