I understand where you were coming from with the rest of your post, and I agree mostly. But what I bolded stood out to me a bit, because in MY case... It's a bit different. I'm glad they've done all they have with the accessories, gameplay, etc. But the formation looked fine to me in Madden 09, so I don't see why they had to mess with it.

It bothers me that they haven't touched on this once yet. This thread has been lurking around on and off the first page for about a week now.

I think the playbooks in Madden 11 will show a much greater variety in differences from one team to another. And I'm kinda hoping for that. It will be a lot of work, but it would certainly add a lot to authenticity.
