I'm saying the DE's pass rush lane will change. Rather than running directly into the tackle, the tackle will have to open up more. Last year they didn't have steering and it was based on suction blocking. It is the play call that is sending the defensive end inside directly to the offensive tackle. If it is not this then I'll stand corrected. But I do believe this is it based on playing the CD build when hot blitzing my DE he ran straight down. Back then he just didn't run fast enough.

Also Tomb, good initial post, but, your critique of the RG is based on something that I have repeatedly stated, namely, the game does not have a fully worked out double team/help pass blocking module. At that point all we can say is, this is what the game needs going forward.

I gotcha, in the past when I had a DE hot blitz down (hit the trigger down on my PS3) it seemed he always ran straight down into the OT maybe it was because I hadn't spread out my lines. The only thing I ever saw work was when I crashed right or left, then I would notice a change in direction. Maybe I just didn't make the correct changes when blitzing down.

Is fanning the d-line without spreading them as effective?

Now if this was some never been done before in gaming history type feature, then yeah, I can see your argument. However this is basic stuff(normal football stuff) that should have been done year 1 on the 360.

Its been done in 2k8 2 years ago. I am NOT saying 2K8 was perfect in its implementation but MAN its WAY better than what I see in the vids that were shown for 2010.

Now some of you are advocating, well just dont expect much, be happy its better than last year......Well when last year was not great and this year is less than whats 2 years old. I gotta scream.

Sorry if it offends some.
Do we really know what Ian's team had to work with to rectify the problematic issues of the past?
So, I don't really know if it's unreasonable or not.

I agree it should have been done year 1, but there isn't a darn thing you or I can do to change that. It happened, and it shouldn't have happened.

Don't you agree that Ian and team are steering Madden in the right direction vs yr 1?

Again, I don't mind the constructive criticism, but do you really think it works bringing up all the time that a 2 or 5 yr old game had it?

That's not new news to anyone.

By the way, this going back and forth are taking away the interaction between Bezo and LBz.

Enough from me.

not me....it's just that if you're a member of OS...you know how good APF is (i do--just finished a game!). go look at my post history from june/july 2004...you won't find a bigger 2k fanboy.

but....it ain't coming back, so why not 'root' for the new team with madden..and yeah...just about everything shown in M10 "has already been done" but at least its there now.

i need my NFL fix as much as my gameplay fix...so...i choose to play both

me too...LBz/bezo...the floor is yours

LOL after all this feedback I guarantee when we buy the game and pop it in, something outrageous happens before the first drive is over. It's the nature of the beast.

That might work as well, but in the CD build I didn't like the fan stunt too much because the DE's went way to wide before they engaged for my quick pressure tastes.

Even if what you are saying is true, then why have we not seen it in any vids? All we have to base an opinion on are the vids, and you of all people should know that we have every reason to be concerned with the D-line play (from what has been shown).

Just out of curiosity, you appear to know more about football than many in this forum, and we (a few people here) want to know if you ever played pro ball? If so, PM me. You will be surprised who actually come here from time to time. Anyway, please get them to work on the d-line, you and I both know that it needs a lot of work.
