Madden's Curse struck already?

Havign a discussion with a few friedns about Madden when one of my buddies (and he's not a sports game guy, just FPS) says "what if the BP Oil Spill was the Madden Curse? I mean, Drew Brees and everyone wouldn't shut up about the Super Bowl being for the whole area, and all." And I looked and the spill happened the day before news started to leak about Brees being on the cover (which meant it was already decided).

Just struck me as odd. Thoughts?

lol I do not believe in the "madden curse" even know it has hit every single player on the cover.

So I would still suspect brees will get hurt some how, its kinda wierd really, I mean it has happened to every player.

Ray Lewis never got cursed so it didn't happen every year.

The madden curse is something that can be debated by a lot of people but i wouldnt be surprised if Bress got hurt or just had a bad year overall.

I think the madden curse has something to it, but the BP oil spill stuff is absolutely stupid.

I mean seriously.. When Brees plays every single game.. what are people going to say to back up the curse?

He had 33 TD Instead of 34
He lost the superbowl instead of winning it
He threw 12 INT instead of 11
He threw for 100 less yards
Saints record was 11-5 and not 13-3
BP OIL SPILL HAPPENED!

I think I have heard everything now.

If Brees has to miss significant time with an injury and the Saints miss the playoffs, then we can talk about curses.

Unless there are some BP in game adverts this year. Hmmmm.
