Doesn't look like we'll ever know but I do know if there was a real PC version (Real meaning not a direct console port with no roster printing etc..) I'd have bought it.

If I'm reading it correctly:

With that said PC games hit 20 Billion for the year 2012, an increase of 8%.
There's still a market there for sure.

Then again I'm not an analyst by any means and am just looking for reason to get a PC NFL game made..

Profit margins aside, I'm sure another factor is that by going consoles only, they pretty much can lock the product down. Put it on PC, and modders can fix some issues, make changes, create add-ons, etc. I bet they hate the idea of losing any kind of control over the product and what it does.
