- Calling off catchers is time consuming??? While the catchers definitely have HORRID pitch calling, it certainly is NOT difficult to call your own game and you can even turn off the catcher signs if you don't like them.
- Hitting is easy on all levels? Try zone hitting. It's the COMPLETE OPPOSITE.
- Infield Fielding controls are difficult? I've thrown away ONE ball in 7 games. ONE! He didn't even mention the REAL problem of first basemen stepping off the base.
- He somehow managed to find something wrong with the online play, even though almost EVERYONE is saying it's great and seamless.
- He's insulting the play-by-play even though most people are saying it's better than the Show's.
- Complaining about the sound track - are you kidding? They have custom music for a reason.
- He insults everything else yet doesn't mention the REAL glaring problems of hitter aggression, big arcade-like yellow circles, and first basemen stepping off bag.

Honestly, this game has GLARING issues. Funny how the reviewer didn't mention ANY of them. The fact that you thought his review was accurate is a joke dude, no offense.
lol..."no offense" tossed in as a safety? And you start with a "no surprise you would agree with it' to boot. You've apparently got me pegged...lol...good for you

Look, this is the second time you've taken it upon yourself to play defense on comments I made...and do so inaccurately to boot.

Re-read what I said, and try again. You are beginning to get a tad bothersome with your habit of not reading what was typed and trying to read between the lines. Either your not very good at it, or just plain defensive...lol.

I DID NOT agree with the review. Pretty much the whole thing was in jest at the humor the review gave me. Since you apparently missed the point, here's a quick break down:

-The intro was hilarious to me. I have a sense of humor and don't take this stuff too seriously. I can't help if you don't view it the same way.

-I said the write-up was not that far off "ONCE YOU WEED THROUGH HIS OBVIOUS FRUSTRATIONS" (Bolded and capped so it can't be avoided again). There was nothing he wrote ABOUT THE GAME that was really glaringly inaccurate.

-Then, I said I wouldn't give it 4.5 and joked that taking away the author's frustration would bump it up to a 6. Again, not taking things seriously...a clear difference in our appraoch it seems.

Then I said I would personally have it between a 6-7 depending on the day. A thinly veiled reference to how some games are better than others due to the bugs/issues. (By the way, the wink at the end of a sentence normally means one isn't taking things too seriously).

-Then, I said that whatever your opinion of the review it was a fun read. I never even implied it was a good review. I just thought it was funny.

Seriously, relax and try not to make this personal. I don't know how many winks and "lol's" need to be in a fricken comment to infer that it was not serious.

Deep breaths, and bark up someone else's tree

I call 'em as I see 'em, I'm not "barking up your tree," dude. You specifically said, "As for the review itself, it's actually not that far off (I'm talking write-up, not score). Once you weed through the reviewers obvious frustration, that is." To me that sounds like you're agreeing with his write-up. And I completely decimated his review as being way off base. So as I said, it's laughable that anyone could even remotely agree with that reviewer's assessment. He seemed to be fabricating problems and missing the glaring ones.

As am I. But to be completely honest, all a patch will do is make it more tolerable. 2K still has a WAYS to go to compete and if they're "serious" this year about their game, I think they might be in tears from all the people crushing them.

And twice now, you've been told you "see em" wrong. Again, as I explained you took it out of context. That's all. Accept it and move on please.

And "decimated his review"?

"While the reviewer definitely makes some valid points, some of them are bordering on absurd."

Aside from perspective (mine mostly in jest and your's more serious), this is not really different in meaning than what I said. He's not far off in his claims about the game ASIDE FROM his clear frustrations (meaning personal stuff, like the soundtrack and all that crap).

The difference here, is I never call someone's personal preference "absurd." Again, though...it's a matter of how you view the context, I suppose. To each his own.

Of course he missed other stuff (and big stuff at that), never even commented on that. Believe it or not, we likely don't differ too much on the value of that review.

The difference, as I said is you take it seriously, and I don't. As I said, that's your business. As my amusement is mine

Anyway, this is pointless. I'm in good humor and don't want to waste it with this nonsense.

You are certainly entitled to you misconceptions and perception of things. I already told you that you're wrong, but feel free to continue on...I'm done

I'm going to go ahead and call it a bad review. In any case, I don't think the large site reviews ever approximate what goes on here. It's strictly a casual gamer review, as are most sports game reviews. One patch, even if only to fix the bugs and not aggression or editing, changes a lot of things.
