Timlin gets out of it by striking out Sizemore, but not before he walked the number 9 man and ran the count to 3-2. Sizemore really helped him out by expanding the zone and fouling off a couple bad pitches. Let's see if the bats can tack on some insurance for Papelbon in the 9th.

Always good when the team can win with their ace on the hill. That one was tough but the series gets off to a good start. With Wake and Beckett pitching the next two games, the Sox have a good shot at winning this series. And Ortiz needs one more homer this month to set the club record for April homers. Papelbon needs one more save to set the rookie record for saves in April.
